KitchenLab Interiors’ first, entirely new construction project in collaboration with GTH architects who designed the residence. KLI was responsible for all interior finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and design including the stairs, casework, interior doors, moldings and millwork. KLI also worked with the client on selecting the roof, exterior stucco and paint colors, stone, windows, and doors. The homeowners had purchased the existing home on a lakefront lot of the Valley Lo community in Glenview, thinking that it would be a gut renovation, but when they discovered a host of issues including mold, they decided to tear it down and start from scratch. The minute you look out the living room windows, you feel as though you're on a lakeside vacation in Wisconsin or Michigan. We wanted to help the homeowners achieve this feeling throughout the house - merging the causal vibe of a vacation home with the elegance desired for a primary residence. This project is unique and personal in many ways - Rebekah and the homeowner, Lorie, had grown up together in a small suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Lorie had been Rebekah's babysitter and was like an older sister growing up. They were both heavily influenced by the style of the late 70's and early 80's boho/hippy meets disco and 80's glam, and both credit their moms for an early interest in anything related to art, design, and style. One of the biggest challenges of doing a new construction project is that it takes so much longer to plan and execute and by the time tile and lighting is installed, you might be bored by the selections of feel like you've seen them everywhere already. “I really tried to pull myself, our team and the client away from the echo-chamber of Pinterest and Instagram. We fell in love with counter stools 3 years ago that I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on, thank god, because then they started showing up literally everywhere", Rebekah recalls. Lots of one of a kind vintage rugs and furnishings make the home feel less brand-spanking new. The best projects come from a team slightly outside their comfort zone. One of the funniest things Lorie says to Rebekah, "I gave you everything you wanted", which is pretty hilarious coming from a client to a designer.

The project started with a clear goal: combine the essential, powerful lines of brutalist architecture with the sophisticated warmth of Italian-made furniture. The villa, defined by concrete structures and graphic volumes, is transformed into a welcoming and refined home thanks to a careful design process led by the architects and interior designers from Mobilificio Marchese, in close collaboration with the client. For us, each client is a new challenge to be faced with the method that has allowed us to furnish the most beautiful houses around the world: listening to the client's needs, studying the available space, designing tailor-made solutions. Salvatore and Martina accompanied the customer step by step, in choosing every single detail while Floriana took care of the whole part concerning the choice of colors and finishes, to create a harmonious palette.

Developer George Kevo collaborated with Creative Edge Master Shop, Inc., and Aalto Design to design and fabricate floors for a French chateau masterpiece home. A project of this nature requires meticulous care and excellent craftsmanship. Both developer George Kevo and Harri Aalto, President of Aalto Design, have discerning eyes and discriminating tastes. Working together, Harri Aalto was able to interpret and add his design style to George's idea. Their collaboration yielded floors containing over 20 colors and over 2,200 ft. of stunning artistry. Some of the stones used in this project were Crema Marfil, Emperador Dark, Jerusalem Gold, Indus Gold, Quetzel Green and French Vanilla. Design and colors were carefully chosen following the developer's interior decorations. After a month of designing and programming, Creative Edge Master Shop, iNc. fabricated and shipped over 40,000 pieces of preassembled stone flooring for installation.

Collaborating closely with Skanska Romania, we have carefully selected the optimal furnishing solution for the decoration of the representative area of the Green Court Office Complex. The selected products meet the highest architectural demands, most of them representing widely acclaimed, multiple award-winning products (IF and Good Design Award): from the floating TO sofa and Stone objects to the coffee shop area where we supplied the MIUNN bar stools. All the supplied elements stand out through their attractiveness and through the attention to details.

This quintessential Sonoma farmhouse is in a vineyard on a storied 4.5-acre property, with a stone barn that dates back to 1896. The site is less than a mile from the historic central plaza and remains a small working farm with orchards and an olive grove. The new residence is a modern reinterpretation of the farmhouse vernacular, open to its surroundings from all sides. Care was taken to site the house to capture both morning and afternoon light throughout the year and minimize disturbance to the established vineyard. In each room of this single-story home, French doors replace windows, which create breezeways through the house. An extensive wrap-around porch anchors the house to the land and frames views in all directions. Organic material choices further reinforce the connection between the home and its surroundings. A mix of wood clapboard and shingle, seamed metal roofing, and stone wall accents ensure the new structure harmonizes with the late 18th-century structures.
