As the kitchen is in the center of the house, we finished it with wish bone chairs they perfectly complement industrial wooden table they have. We kept the old chandelier and vase.

Because granite is 100% natural, and no two pieces are alike, (even the sample of granite you saw in making your choice will vary somewhat from what is installed in your home), your installed countertop will not have a uniform look, which appeals to some who like the one of a kind nature of the stone. Centrally located in midtown Manhattan, this stunning one bedroom received a gut renovation from DHD Architecture to create a bright, clean slate for a couple with impeccable taste. Minimally detailed custom millwork and architectural lighting lend itself to the strong urban landscape visible from the floor to ceiling corner windows perched high above 5th Avenue. Interiors kept lines sleek and sophisticated to compliment the decor’s streamline setting. The classic neutral palette combined with bold, modern furniture and a chic array of accessories creates the perfect backdrop for the clients’ expertly curated art collection.

WHERE TO GO TO FLOW

On Friday afternoon, The Roots backstage room had white walls and gray floors and ceilings. By Monday, we wanted to surprise them with their own (stocked) Brooklyn bar. New brick walls were added and tagged with Nina Simone, vintage mint booths, a live-edge table top, custom light fixtures, and details create a chill spot. Antler bottle openers, Moroccan rugs, hat holders to display Tariq’s collection, vintage bar-ware and shakers... The collected parts are all as authentic as The Roots.
“I wanted to give the Roots a real spot to feel good and hang in, not just a place to change. The bottle cap tramp art and history / cultural references of the collected items in this room were a tribute to the smart timelessness of the band… and of course we made sure that the bar was fully stocked…” - Kyla
