Commission Complete-Mission Complete!
There's something incredibly special about creating a painting that is destined for a home with a personal connection to the coast.
I'm truly honored to share the completion of this custom commissioned original painting for a wonderful collector in Sea Girt, New Jersey.
Inspired by the ever-changing hues of the Atlantic and the quiet rhythm of the sea, this custom painting was created for a collector seeking a work alive with movement—one that evokes the shifting tides and dancing light on the water while bringing lasting tranquility, warmth, and coastal beauty into her home.
Seeing a painting installed exactly where it was envisioned is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist.
Thank you for trusting me to create a one-of-a-kind piece that will be enjoyed for years to come.
It was my sincere pleasure to create "The Good Life" for you and your family.

The Calvin Swallow Residence entailed the restoration and rehabilitation of the 1874 building in conformance with National Park Service, the Massachusetts Historical Commission and Boston’s South End Landmark District Commission. The building had been vacant and abandoned for more than 15 years. The scope of the project consisted of a full exterior restoration which includes new slate roofing, re-construction of the cornice lines, repair and mostly reconstruction of the ground level storefront windows and door, repair of the oriel window and masonry repointing. On the interior, Haycon restored the stairs and railings and constructed six apartments on the top three floors. The ground floors are offices.

This is a home we initially built in 1995 and after it sold in 2014 we were commissioned to come back and remodel the interior of the home.
We worked with internationally renowned architect Will Bruder on the initial design on the home. The goal of home was to build a modern hillside home which made the most of the vista upon which it sat. A few ways we were able to achieve this were the unique, floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the side of the property overlooking Scottsdale, a private courtyard off the master bedroom and bathroom, and a custom commissioned sculpture Mayme Kratz.
Stonecreek's particular role in the project were to work alongside both the clients and the architect to make sure we were able to perfectly execute on the vision and design of the project. A very unique component of this house is how truly custom every feature is, all the way from the window systems and the bathtubs all the way down to the door handles and other features.

My clients had always been inspired by the grand Tudor Revival homes of the early 20th century and commissioned Hull Historical to recreate the authentic custom millwork, paneling and doors for their new Tudor Revival home. Our inspiration came from 2 great English homes, Stan Hywett, a great Tudor Revival home in Ohio, built for the founder of Goodyear Tires. Also, the Woodbine Mansion, built in 1911 for the son of the Pabst Brewing Company. We were fortunate to purchase three rooms of architectural millwork from the woodbine home, which was originally fabricated by the Huber Company of New York. Upon completion of this project, the architectural salvage comprised 15% of the final quantity of paneling installed. The remainder was custom fabricated by Hull Historical at our shop in Fort Worth, TX and installed at the clients home.
The commission, based on historic precedent, constituted antique paneling on the main floor, beamed ceilings and all the doors in the home. The new paneling, including the kitchen cabinetry is made from a combination of new quarter-sawn white oak and antique white oak salvaged from old barns and buildings. All the oak was fumed in an ammonia-filled chamber to produce a cocoa color and deep feel giving the millwork rough character and a timeless look that my client loved.
The millwork also served to give the home a hierarchy, with simple paneling combined with board and batten doors downstairs, then more ornate paneling, with carvings on the main floor. Additionally, the main floor features mostly 8 and 10 panel doors. All woodwork was hand-pegged with oak pegs. Some of the paneling features a unique Mason’s Miter, a historic joinery technique inspired from stone work.

A bold take on modern glamour, this living room stuns from the top down.. A wallpapered ceiling draws the eye upward, framing a dramatic chandelier that anchors the space with sculptural elegance. Below, a sleek piano adds both sophistication and soul, while commissioned artwork injects unexpected pops of color that energize the neutral palette. Thoughtfully layered with rich textures, reflective surfaces, and statement-making details, the room balances drama and refinement—designed for both lively entertaining and quiet moments of inspiration.

This project was a commissioned, custom design and built of a walnut and steel kitchen table for a client in Fairway Kansas in the Kansas City area. Table dimensions are 75" Long x 43" Wide x 30"H (walnut top is 1 1/2" Thick). This custom commissioned 1 1/2" thick walnut table was years in the making. This is a little misleading, as it really only took around eight weeks to fabricate the walnut table top and black painted steel base. However, the six 1 1/2" planks of walnut wood were reclaimed from two different storage areas that had been aging the wood for twenty-five and thirty-five years respectively. This aging allows for the chocolate color of the wood to really emerge. The custom designed and fabricated steel base is painted a flat black to match chairs and other accents.

Additions, renovations, and restorations on established Boston-suburb streets.
Winchester is where a lot of my Boston-area work has lived for years. The town has a residential character built on early 20th-century stock: Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Shingle style, the occasional Federal, on tree-lined streets where what you do to one house is visible to the rest of the block.
The projects below are additions, renovations, and restorations. The brief is almost always the same: keep what's working, fix what isn't, and make the new work look like it belongs to the original house. Done well, an addition is invisible from the street and the family lives in a house that looks like it was always that way. Done poorly, the work announces itself, and the house ends up reading as two houses: the original, and the one the architect tried to add.
When a project falls under Winchester's Historic Districts Commission, I work closely with the commission. When it doesn't, I still pay attention to the neighbors. The town has a strong sense of its own architectural fabric. The work that lasts here is the work that doesn't fight it.

Antique cast iron industrial bases — salvaged from manufacturing equipment, their original function now architectural — support a reclaimed barnwood top of exceptional grain and character. A lower shelf in matching reclaimed wood adds storage presence and visual weight. Expanded metal mesh panels complete the base, referencing the industrial origin without apology.
The meeting point of two American material traditions — agricultural and industrial — in a single functional object. The cast iron carries the weight and permanence of the factory floor. The barnwood carries the warmth and history of the farm. Together they produce something neither tradition achieves alone.
Available for commission. Cast iron base sourcing varies — each commission differs based on available industrial iron. That variation is inherent to the process.

Commissioned mural. I designed and painted one full wall of my client’s guest bathroom to resemble a doorway that opens onto a patio with a water landscape view so as to visually expand the room.
