A hand-made copper wall sculpture with a gradient patina anchors this contemporary residential dining space. The artwork is composed of individually treated copper tiles arranged in a precise grid, which creates depth, texture, and visual interest across the surface. An epoxy-resin finish is added to seal the copper from any further oxidization. The piece introduces warmth and richness while still complementing the home’s modern palette of wood, glass, and steel.

The Philip Munroe Residence consisted of the restoration and rehabilitation of the House to the standards set by the National Park Service, the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and the Mid Cambridge Neighborhood Conservation District Commission. The internal decorative stairwells, Queen Anne windows, interior and exterior doors, slate roof, and ornamental features were preserved. Replacement items such as windows and clapboards were reproduced with the same materials and specifications as those on the building when it was originally built in 1887.

Located steps away from the beach, the client engaged us to transform a blank industrial loft space to a warm inviting space that pays respect to its industrial heritage. We use anchored large open space with a sixteen foot conversation island that was constructed out of reclaimed logs and plumbing pipes. The island itself is divided up into areas for eating, drinking, and reading. Bringing this theme into the bedroom, the bed was constructed out of 12x12 reclaimed logs anchored by two bent steel plates for side tables.

This penthouse living room is sophisticated and inviting. The artwork was created specifically for our space and commissioned through Heidi McBride Gallery.

A big advantage to the property is its one-car garage, something that is notoriously hard to come by in Manhattan. "The motorcycle shop already had the makings of a garage, and we could use that for our cars", Novogratz explains. Taking up the entire ground floor, the garage and entrance raise the home well off of street level, which affords the family privacy and isolation from the sounds of the roadway outside.
The couple commissioned British Pop artist Richard Woods to create an installation on the home's facade. The faux bois panels lend visual interest to the exterior, as well as a good dose of humor.

Large eclectic concrete floor and gray floor great room photo in New York with white walls

Example of a transitional master dark wood floor and tray ceiling bedroom design in Dallas with a standard fireplace and a stone fireplace

Stripped of its original charm with sagging floors and water leaks, this 1900 row house was prime for a full renovation. While the staircase and marble fireplace are original, everything from the white oak flooring, crown, applied, and base moldings, to the archways and brass door hardware is new; yet they all feel original to the house. Other projects included removing soffits and tucking away randomly placed support beams and posts, relocating and expanding the kitchen, renovating each bathroom – and adding a new one, upgrading all the mechanical, electric and plumbing systems, removing a fireplace, and regrading the back patio for proper drainage and added greenery. The project is a perfect study of juxtaposing new and old, classic and modern.
