Another dated redwood deck that was removed and replaced with a beautiful composite, modern deck! The owners chose TimberTech Antique Leather for the decking with a TimberTech Dark Roast picture frame. We also installed a custom designed and built Dining Rail in the Dark Roast for the homeowners. The railing is a Fortress Fe26 steel panel system with a Dark Roast drink cap. Our customers love their new deck and have been entertaining lots of family and friends!

Our customers were lucky enough not to lose their home in the Black Forest Fire, but their deck sustained significant damage. They hired Decks by Schmillen to rebuild the custom deck and add on to what they had previously. We tore down the existing deck and built the current one with Fiberon IPE composite decking. The custom-designed/built wrought-iron railing was salvaged, cleaned, sandblasted, re-powder coated, and attached to the rebuilt stone columns, which feature custom concrete stone caps. The customers decided to add a large cedar pergola, which we designed in order to utilize the existing stone columns by putting the pergola posts inside the columns. The design of pergola also adds to the grand appearance of the house. All the design and build work that went into this deck resulted in an outdoor entertainment area that the customers enjoy extensively with their family and friends.
