This is a beauty! Allheart Redwood wood with a Dark Walnut stain. Includes archway over tabletop and diamond bin, curved corners with waterfall racks leading down. With a beautiful wine room chandelier. "Eric Flores was very helpful with hints and videos. The racks assembled quite well as the components' quality was very consistent. The nail gun really reduced assembly time. A nail would occasionally go slightly to the side due to wood grain and would have to be redone. This was probably less than one percent. Overall, I would give the kits a 9.5 /10.0. The room is 8'-10" x 11'- 8" with 2x6 wall studs, sprayed foam insulation, and an exterior "speak-easy" door. We are using a WhisperKool through-the-wall unit with a bottle probe holding 60 degrees F and 50% humidity. The fun part was the trip to Healdsburg (Sonoma County) to stock up on their local award winning Cabs, Zinns, PNs, & Chards."

Our clients were looking to build an income property for use as a short term rental in their backyard. In order to keep maximize the available space on a limited footprint, we designed the ADU around a spiral staircase leading up to the loft bedroom. The vaulted ceiling gives the small space a much larger appearance. To provide privacy for both the renters and the homeowners, the ADU was set apart from the house with its own private entrance. The design of the ADU was done with local Pacific Northwest aesthetics in mind, including green exterior paint and a mixture of woodgrain and metal fixtures for the interior. Durability was a major concern for the homeowners. In order to minimize potential damages from renters, we selected quartz countertops and waterproof flooring. We also used a high-quality interior paint that will stand the test of time and clean easily. The end result of this project was exactly what the client was hoping for, and the rental consistently receives 5-star reviews on Airbnb.

Hawthorne natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill looks stunning on the exterior of this bay window. Hawthorne is a low height ledgestone real stone veneer in semi-consistent shades of tan. The natural sandstone pieces come from the thinner layers of the quarry. Hawthorne’s pieces have relatively straight and parallel tops and bottoms from the clean slabs cut into the thin veneer. The stone can be installed with or without a mortar joint between the individual pieces. If you are planning to drystack the stone, both the mason’s cost to do the installation as well as the waste factor will increase considerably. The definitive idea behind this project was to create a modest country house that was traditional in outward appearance yet minimalist from within. The harmonious scale, thick wall massing and the attention to architectural detail are reminiscent of the enduring quality and beauty of European homes built long ago. It features a custom-built Spanish Colonial- inspired house that is characterized by an L-plan, low-pitched mission clay tile roofs, exposed wood rafter tails, broad expanses of thick white-washed stucco walls with recessed-in French patio doors and casement windows; and surrounded by native California oaks, boxwood hedges, French lavender, Mexican bush sage, and rosemary that are often found in Mediterranean landscapes. An emphasis was placed on visually experiencing the weight of the exposed ceiling timbers and the thick wall massing between the light, airy spaces. A simple and elegant material palette, which consists of white plastered walls, timber beams, wide plank white oak floors, and pale travertine used for wash basins and bath tile flooring, was chosen to articulate the fine balance between clean, simple lines and Old World touches.
