The first people to call Wheeling home provided an overnight rest stop for those traveling from Chicago to the Wisconsin Territory. Incorporated in 1894, this area quickly became known for its inns, taverns, and eateries. Today, Wheeling’s Restaurant Row still provides delicious food to residents and to people passing through as well.
