The Impressive Studio City Mid-Century Exterior Masterpiece was a comprehensive interior and exterior remodel, revitalizing a dated property into a stunning modern sanctuary. The homeowners sought to blend mid-century design with a contemporary twist, emphasizing clean lines, natural materials, and expansive views. We transformed the exterior with a sleek wood-paneled entrance, smooth stucco walls, and minimalist landscaping, creating an inviting curb appeal that reflects the home's architectural roots. Large, custom glass doors seamlessly connect the indoors with the outdoors, bathing the interior in natural light and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Studio City landscape.
Inside, we continued the mid-century theme by selecting warm wood flooring, an open-concept layout, and modern fixtures that merge style with comfort. The homeowners wanted a space that felt sophisticated yet warm, and our team worked closely with them throughout the project to ensure every detail met their vision. As a Studio City-based company, we took pride in sourcing local materials and embracing the area's aesthetic. This remodel has resulted in a mid-century masterpiece that not only enhances the home’s functionality but also stands as a true statement piece in the neighborhood.

Taking a cue from vintage-wash area rugs, the Madalyon Bath Rug features a faded antique-inspired pattern enhanced by muted color. Woven of supremely soft Turkish cotton and viscose with a skid-resistant back, it’s the perfect way to continue a favorite decor theme into the bath.

Continuing the signature of silver throughout, the dining
room walls are covered in a metallic pewter grass cloth. The use of glass topped tables and a large gilt mirror enhance the space. Crisp white shutters keep the design clean and elegant. The chandelier has elegant rock crystals and silk shade.

While this new home had an architecturally striking exterior, the home’s interior fell short in terms of true functionality and overall style. The most critical element in this renovation was the kitchen and dining area, which needed careful attention to bring it to the level that suited the home and the homeowners.
As a graduate of Culinary Institute of America, our client wanted a kitchen that “feels like a restaurant, with the warmth of a home kitchen,” where guests can gather over great food, great wine, and truly feel comfortable in the open concept home. Although it follows a typical chef’s galley layout, the unique design solutions and unusual materials set it apart from the typical kitchen design.
Polished countertops, laminated and stainless cabinets fronts, and professional appliances are complemented by the introduction of wood, glass, and blackened metal – materials introduced in the overall design of the house. Unique features include a wall clad in walnut for dangling heavy pots and utensils; a floating, sculptural walnut countertop piece housing an herb garden; an open pantry that serves as a coffee bar and wine station; and a hanging chalkboard that hides a water heater closet and features different coffee offerings available to guests.
The dining area addition, enclosed by windows, continues to vivify the organic elements and brings in ample natural light, enhancing the darker finishes and creating additional warmth.

The amenities requested by the client are accommodated in a new structure positioned next to the interior demising wall of the loft and is designed to appear disengaged from the existing walls. The resulting freestanding character of the new structure enhances its perception as a distinct object inserted into the overall volume of the loft, reinforcing the continuity and openness of the existing space.

The center piece of the master bedroom is the oversized modern painting in hues of orange, blues and the neutrals. The beauty of the "Christopher Guy" bed is its extreme simplicity, tufted white headboard with a hand knotted carved piece. The "Hickory Chair" white nightstands compliment the free flowing lines of the bed. Crystal lamps and chandelier enhance but does not interfere with the design of the room. A "Hickory Chair" loveseat and custom oval ottoman continue with the philosophy of the space.
