Where can a line lead you? The Surrealists believed automatically drawing one continuous line could take you into your subconscious. Many artists also use one unbroken line to create two-dimensional portraits or to limn recognizable forms. For Axis Mundi, one uninterrupted line leads to home. Or, more intriguingly, to the rhythmic underlying structure of this concept house for a successful digital entrepreneur in the Palm Springs desert. An homage to Austrian architect Frederick Kiesler’s 1950 “Endless House,” the basic footprint and floor plan derives from a single ribbon looped repeatedly in a single continuous line. The home is enclosed with rammed-earth exterior walls built up along the undulating contours formed by the ribbon, while interior walls are erected around selected voids defined by some of the loops. A faceted tent-like Cor-Ten steel roof—out of which the shape of the floor plan is cut out and replaced with glass—tops the structure. It is both a line of intellectual questioning posed by the designers and a line of continuity that brings fluidity to a living plan for the client in question.

This sleek contemporary staircase features robust natural wood newels supporting jet-black horizontal metal rods that create clean, unobstructed sightlines. A continuous modern handrail flows seamlessly across multiple levels, while stained treads are custom-matched to the home's hardwood flooring for visual continuity throughout the space.
The dark treads complement the metal rods, while the white risers create defining contrast. The combination of railing and steps creates an appealing balance between strength and openness, transforming the staircase into a focal point that anchors the entry without overwhelming it.

Our clients envisioned a clean, contemporary kitchen designed for both functionality and entertaining. Passionate about cooking and entertaining guests, their priorities included generous work surfaces, discreet storage for small appliances, and ample space for serving ware, cookware, and dinnerware.
The cabinetry was selected for both aesthetics and ease of maintenance. A minimalist, hardware-free look keeps the space visually uncluttered. Lower cabinets operate via a continuous Euro-style channel, which seamlessly integrates with the refrigerator panels. Upper and tall cabinets feature a mix of touch-latch and servo-driven mechanisms, enhancing accessibility while maintaining a sleek profile.
A raised bar conceals cooktop clutter during meal prep and creates a welcoming space to serve and engage with guests. The U-shaped layout was essential to keep the work zone distinct from social areas while allowing smooth movement around the kitchen.
Lighting played a central role in the design. Multiple layers of illumination, all set to a bright 5000K color temperature per the homeowners' request, include dimmable toe-kick lights and a continuous recessed light channel along the tall cabinets. These create both ambiance and high-function lighting as needed.
For entertaining large groups, the kitchen features multiple ovens and a warming drawer—perfect for entertaining. On the refrigerator wall, servo-activated countertop cabinets conceal small appliances, with the countertop surface continuing inside for easy access. A built-in, barista-quality coffee machine is nestled between these cabinets, adding a touch of luxury.
For a clean look free of visible outlets, the team installed touch-activated, pop-out Legrand outlets with three-sided access. The color was custom-matched to complement the veining in the quartz countertops.
The tall cabinet adjacent to the double oven stores everyday dishware, conveniently located for setting the nearby dining table. At the end of the peninsula, a servo-activated double trash pullout allows easy access without interfering with the cook. A dedicated utensil pullout beside it keeps tools within reach while maintaining clear countertops.

We were more than thrilled when our Wisper Bay clients came to us looking to continue the remodel process in the downstairs area of their Palm City home. We had just finished their upstairs master bathroom and were officially in love with the design as well as our working relationship with this lovely couple. To have them trust us to now take on an even larger project, double the size of the first, was such a huge nod of confidence and we could not have been happier to oblige.
The downstairs had great space but lacked the personality and warmth the clients wanted. It felt dark, lacking natural light and did not reflect their taste or match the look of what we had just completed upstairs. The goal was to continue the flow that was created upstairs and making the entire home feel uniform and continuous.
We added a 12’ set of French doors, new waterproof vinyl flooring, removed the many walls enclosing the existing kitchen, and reconfigured the space to make more sense. We went with a two tone look featuring all new Dura Supreme cabinets, replaced all the appliances to include a Fulgor Milano gas range making the kitchen a true chefs dream. We also added a huge island with quartz countertops, making entertaining and cleaning a breeze.

This solid cherry open rise stair is BIG. In this stair design, we opted out of the traditional “stacked” stair layout for an original “scissor” layout normally reserved for straight stairs. The stair design coupled with the continuous handrail offers a completely unique and grand style. Endless curved lines, continuous railing flowing down the stairs, and striking perspectives. Railing: continuous solid cherry blank rail with ¾’’ round stainless steel spindles.
