This pool and spa combination has an Infinity Edge. The spa is raised slightly with a Negative Edge that overflows into the infinity gutter system. Both inside coping and tile are Black Absolute Granite with a honed finish. Outside coping is 2’ x2’ Bluestone pavers and both pool and spa are finished with a Black Galaxy Pebblefina.

The client decided that she was in her "forever home" and wanted to create a space that felt clean and fresh but referenced elements of a vintage aesthetic. Panel molding, gently swooping paintable wallpaper, a high-contrast palette and gleaming fixtures from Kohler's Artifacts line all contributed to the look. Barn doors were added to the existing family room, creating the desired theater room feel. The custom barn doors also add the perfect charm to the space and contributes to the Old World style.

Custom white grommet bunk beds model white gray bedding, a trundle feature and striped curtains. A wooden ladder offers a natural finish to the bedroom decor around shiplap bunk bed trim. Light gray walls in Benjamin Moore Classic Gray compliment the surrounding color theme while red pillows offer a pop of contrast contributing to a nautical vibe. Polished concrete floors add an industrial feature to this open bedroom space.

With tech careers to keep first-time home buyers busy Regan Baker Design Inc. was hired to update a standard two-bedroom loft into a warm and unique space with storage for days. The kitchen boasts a nine-foot aluminum rolling ladder to access those hard-to-reach places, and a farm sink is paired with a herringbone backsplash for a nice spin on the standard white kitchen. In the living room RBD warmed up the space with 17 foot dip-dyed draperies, running floor to ceiling. Utilizing under-the-stairs space, this integrated system allows the whole family to stay organized elegantly. • Lago® Siena finish sets the tone for a traditional aesthetic. • Lago® Siena 5-piece door and drawer fronts with mink leather inserts contribute to the warm, traditional feel. • Aluminum frames with high-gloss Olive back-painted glass fronts provide concealed storage. • Leather mink cleat with cleat mount accessories adds texture and offers a place to hang coats. • Oil-rubbed bronzed pull-out baskets offer flexible storage for winter gear and sporting equipment. • Ecoresin Thatch backer is used as a unique back panel option. • Tiered custom height accommodates sloped ceiling. • Finger pulls and top cap shelf details add to the design aesthetic.

The design for this home in Palo Alto looked to create a union between the interior and exterior, blending the spaces in such a way as to allow residents to move seamlessly between the two environments. Expansive glazing was used throughout the home to complement this union, looking out onto a swimming pool centrally located within the courtyard. Within the living room, a large operable skylight brings in plentiful sunlight, while utilizing self tinting glass that adjusts to various lighting conditions throughout the day to ensure optimal comfort. For the exterior, a living wall was added to the garage that continues into the backyard. Extensive landscaping and a gabion wall was also created to provide privacy and contribute to the sense of the home as a tranquil oasis.

The primary goal for this project was to craft a modernist derivation of pueblo architecture. Set into a heavily laden boulder hillside, the design also reflects the nature of the stacked boulder formations. The site, located near local landmark Pinnacle Peak, offered breathtaking views which were largely upward, making proximity an issue. Maintaining southwest fenestration protection and maximizing views created the primary design constraint. The views are maximized with careful orientation, exacting overhangs, and wing wall locations. The overhangs intertwine and undulate with alternating materials stacking to reinforce the boulder strewn backdrop. The elegant material palette and siting allow for great harmony with the native desert. The Elegant Modern at Estancia was the collaboration of many of the Valley's finest luxury home specialists. Interiors guru David Michael Miller contributed elegance and refinement in every detail. Landscape architect Russ Greey of Greey | Pickett contributed a landscape design that not only complimented the architecture, but nestled into the surrounding desert as if always a part of it. And contractor Manship Builders -- Jim Manship and project manager Mark Laidlaw -- brought precision and skill to the construction of what architect C.P. Drewett described as "a watch."
