Kitchen - traditional kitchen idea in New Orleans

Bathroom, 2nd floor. 8' long, 5.5' wide, 8' high. Crema Marfil (Spain) marble wall tile, 12"x12", with 3"w x 6"h soldier row as baseboard; Dark Emperador marble dfloor tile, 12"x12" set at a 45-degree angle to the room; copper-plated pressed-tin ceiling. The tub is 5.5' long fiberglass, with air jets. The ceiling crown molding is cherry with a dark stain. Kohler's Memoirs Collection toilet. Broan exhaust fan/light. Jacquard panel curtains and valance with a paisley pattern.

Allyson Zoellner I custom finished this faux "copper" kitchen range hood to look like hammered copper and to coordinate with the client's beautiful hand-made tile. I also painted the switch plates to recede into the tile, and painted verdigris accents on the lower wood portion of the hood.

This picture shows you the "Wall of Wine" that houses 88 bottles of wine from Napa Valley. You will notice the custom cherry cabinets that have wine glass storage and a pull out garbage/recycling area. With the rough stacked stone and the under cabinet accent lighting you get a terrific look at the dimension on the stones. We also added hammered copper outlet plates to go with the hammered copper undermount sink and bronze faucet that sits at an angle to give you a different look instead of the normal "center" placement. The cabinets are wearing bronze hardware as to not take away from the beauty of the cherry finish. The black granite if a fabulous and rich contrast to this bar area. The added detail of the copper plates installed in the upper cabinets brings out the color of the wood. The movement in the sandalwood stone counter is yet another design detail that cannot go unnoticed.

I was a galley type kitchen, I'm now a 'sMarvelous lounge! Again, whenever you're entertaining, guests always gather in kitchen...or bar. Room is wrapped with a 5" ledge to allow for cocktails or small plates to rest. Light is vintage, faucet & sink are copper. We also had the counter top wrapped in copper. Bar or buffet is actually newer. We had a custom finish...verde.
