This kitchen corner offers three drawers for storage access in the corner. With a unique look from the expected lazy-susan door, drawers add an organizational element to the corner.

The breakfast area is flanked on one side by a tall, shallow storage cabinet, and on the other side by deeper base cabinets with a countertop and wall cabinets above. Glass fronts on the center upper cabinets provide additional interest and display opportunities. A small cabinet in the corner next to the door squeezes additional storage into every available inch of floor space. Keeping the most successful features of the existing kitchen and fine tuning dimensions while updating colors and finishes dramatically transformed this kitchen. These types of respectful, surgical interventions are often the most sustainable, cost effective and appropriate approach for renovating a kitchen in an older home.

The perimeter cabinets are finished in Antique White and the island in Cadet Grey. The kitchen features Zodiaq London Sky quartz counter tops, island seating for six, pot filler, Franke Farmhouse fireclay sink, two-tiered wall cabinets with glass at the top tier and corners, toe-kick step stool, (4) toe-kick drawers, (2) hidden spice pull-outs, (4) double base cabinet pull-outs, cutlery divider inserts, knife block insert, double trash pull-out, (2) lazy Susans, (2) under sink cleaning supply pull-outs, custom vertical storage, wood hood, decorative crown, hand carved corbels and large furniture legs. The all Wolf/Sub Zero appliances include two paneled Asko dishwashers, 48” paneled Sub-Zero, Best hood insert, Wolf 48” dual fuel range, Wolf paneled warming drawer and Wolf under counter drawer microwave. A stainless Dacor microwave drawer was installed in a base cabinet with a functioning drawer beneath it. This design choice helps maximize the amount of usable countertop space and makes the kitchen more visually appealing by tucking it out-of-sight instead of atop the counter. This also aids in the minimalistic and contemporary feel of the space.

The existing space was dated and did not allow the homeowner to prepare gourmet meals with optimal efficiency. The solution was to redesign the space, featuring durable and long lasting materials. The new appliances feature innovative technology to optimize their unique cooking needs. This charming kitchen is the centerpiece of this home with the large island as a key gathering space for family and friends. A cove crown molding finishes the cabinets to the ceiling while the shaker profile doors is repeated on the back of the island adding a sophisticated quality to this traditional kitchen. Flanked on either side by the stainless-steel fridge and wall oven, there is plenty of room to cook in this kitchen. The island features a deep sink with brass faucet, dishwasher and integrated pull-out garbage bins for easy organization. The induction cooktop is surrounded by deep drawers and ample counterspace; every cook’s dream! This white kitchen is grounded by the dark espresso island. Carrara marble island with wine storage on the side create a beautiful contrast to the white cabinets with the silestone grey countertops and herringbone backsplash tile. This kithchen renovation included the removal of a load bearing wall to open it up and make it feel bright and airy.
