Lee Austin and his team at Design Studio West was the right choice for the design and construction of a remodeled kitchen in our 100 year old home in La Jolla. From the moment I walked into the Highland store, Steve was extremely helpful and very thorough. He was very patient with my questions and answered every one of them. Steve went above and beyond to ensure we got our carpeting installed in record time and right before the holiday. We had our carpeting installed in less than 2 weeks from the time he came out to measure. I would also like to commend Oscar and the installation team! We had over 1,700 square feet of carpet installed with several rooms filled with furniture. Oscar and his team did an amazing job taking great care of our furniture and had the carpet installed by 5:00. He and his crew were also very courteous and friendly!! After living in the house for almost 15 years the homeowners knew it was time to invest in the most important room in thier house. The large boxed in florescent light, chopped up counter spaces, and white melamine cabinets just had to go! The large pantry closet took up lots of space in the kitchen, but the did not offer organized storage. It was nearly impossible to find what you were looking for as items were buried in the back of the closet. By removing this closet and replacing it with a pantry cabinet with full extension roll outs,not only was the floor space increased but so was the usable storage area. The refrigerator was also relocated to the opposite wall to increase countertop space as well as improve function. "We would definitely look TaylorPro up for future remodeling projects. We would also not hesitate to recommend TaylorPro's services based on our experience with our bathroom remodeling project. Even prior to signing a contract with us, Mr Taylor (Kerry) was very patient with us and generous in sharing information pertaining to remodel options, material choices and general advice. At least one other dedicated 'Remodeler' we contacted thought we were too much of a nuisance and suggested we sign up before he could spend more time with us. Kerry has a very transparent pricing policy, which allows someone unfamiliar with the scope of the work ( us) to understand the cost implications of each step or feature. His style allows complete flexibility in material choice. He also has a roster of 'favored suppliers' who extend sensible pricing to his clients. Kerry also accommodates change requests at reasonable cost, while only requiring sufficient advance notice. Further, he was honest about not having expertise in certain features I wanted implemented - he executed them well anyway. The job was very well planned and executed, with perhaps only one silent day in over 8 weeks of effort. We are very happy with this aspect also. Kerry remained very responsive to any issues or requests through the duration of the project. We of course had set backs and surprises (+$) through the course of this project, but perhaps that is par for course.
