Living room - 1960s living room idea in Los Angeles

Nestled in the heart of Scottsdale, this remodel was all about crafting balance—between warmth and simplicity, elegance and everyday living. Our clients came to us seeking a serene, refined space that felt both modern and livable. The goal: elevate the interiors while embracing a sense of calm and comfort. We approached the design with a palette rich in earthy textures and warm, neutral tones—layering leather, walnut, wool, and soft metal finishes to create visual depth. Each room was designed to feel intentional, with subtle architectural moves and customized furnishings that support real life: a flexible office that doubles as a guest space, a cozy lounge area in lieu of formal dining, and bedrooms styled for rest and recharge. From the inviting entry to the layered living spaces, this home embodies curated restraint. The overall effect is a thoughtful blend of soft lighting, tactile materials, and functional upgrades—resulting in a home that feels both grounded and elevated.

The name of this Farrow & Ball classic needs no explanation! Brimming with rich pigments, Smoked Trout is a dark mushroom tone that can read as anything from a deep taupe to a dustier red depending on the light. With a magical depth and almost three-dimensional quality, is has a romantic feel wherever it’s used.

Playroom & craft room: We transformed a large suburban New Jersey basement into a farmhouse inspired, kids playroom and craft room. Kid-friendly custom millwork cube and bench storage was designed to store ample toys and books, using mixed wood and metal materials for texture. The vibrant, gender-neutral color palette stands out on the neutral walls and floor and sophisticated black accents in the art, mid-century wall sconces, and hardware. The addition of a teepee to the play area was the perfect, fun finishing touch! This kids space is adjacent to an open-concept family-friendly media room, which mirrors the same color palette and materials with a more grown-up look. See the full project to view media room. This basement home office received a top to bottom upgrade. Previously a dark, uninviting space we had the goal to make it light and bright. We started by removing the existing carpeting and replacing it with luxury vinyl. The client's previously owned the walnut sideboard, and we creatively repurposed it as part of the beautiful builtins. Functional storage on the bottom and the bookshelves host meaningful and curated accessories. We layered the most stunning oriental rug and using a teak and concrete dining table as a desk for ample work surface. A soft and delicate roman shade, brightened up the wall paint, replaced the ceiling light fixture and added commissioned artwork to complete the look.
