The homeowners were very concerned about over-improving their modest split-level home built in 1961. They liked the “mid-century modern” feel and wanted to enhance that vibe. Top on their wish list was to replace the portable dishwasher with a built-in and add a peninsula for seating and workspace. To keep the labor cost down, the soffits and existing ceiling lighting was left intact. The first option was to keep the existing cabinets; however, the original layout did not allow adequate counter space on either side of the cooktop. After considered the price of new cabinets, they realized the value of having a brand new kitchen.
The fun begins in the design phase. We chose the horizontal grain laminate to blend with the color of the existing woodwork in the home. The textured rhomboid shaped tile steals the show when accented with contrasting grout. The kitchen is a little mod and a little hip. And fits in perfectly as today’s “mid-century modern” home.

We wanted to showcase a fun multi-purpose room, combining a laundry room, pet supplies/bed and wrapping paper center.
Using Current frame-less cabinets, we show as much of the product as possible in a small space:
Lazy susan
Stack of 4 drawers (each drawer being a different box and glide offered in the line)
Pull out ironing board
Stacked washer and dryer
Clothes rod for both hanging clothes and wrapping paper
Open shelves
Square corner wall
Pull out hamper baskets
Pet bed
Tip up door
Open shelves with pull out hampers
We also wanted to combine cabinet materials with high gloss white laminate upper cabinets and Spokane lower cabinets. Keeping a budget in mind, plastic laminate counter tops with white wood-grain imprint and a top-mounted sink were used.

Docking Drawer - custom drawer configuration, with two holes for brushes & hairdryers. The wires are fully contained to be off the countertop and minimize clutter. WoodMode full overlay door style in Bright White finish. 6cm mitered leathered marble countertops

A radical remodel of a modest beach bungalow originally built in 1913 and relocated in 1920 to its current location, blocks from the ocean.
The exterior of the Bay Street Residence remains true to form, preserving its inherent street presence. The interior has been fully renovated to create a streamline connection between each interior space and the rear yard. A 2-story rear addition provides a master suite and deck above while simultaneously creating a unique space below that serves as a terraced indoor dining and living area open to the outdoors.

The Rotating Living Wall is our take on a traditional, static, living wall. The rotation of the system brings the planter to you, meaning that this living wall is easy to maintain and can grow food. We have spent two years conducting research on its productivity at Penn State, and greenhouses currently use this system to increase their growing efficiency.
