This photo highlights the lovely custom-designed and built cabinets by Draper DBS that feature a gray pearl finish that brings an understated elegance to the semblance of a "white kitchen". White calcutta marble tops and backsplashes add to the clean feel and flow of the space. Also featured is a custom designed and manufactured stainless steel range hood by Rangecraft. The kitchen was a tight space, so we got creative, kitting it out with additional storage and pantry space that didn’t exist before. The family is Italian, so we gathered a lot of inspiration from compact European kitchens, reconfiguring interior walls, but mostly staying within the footprint of the existing floor plan. Italians are really good at designing their kitchens “behind closed doors.” Drawing from that model, we incorporated hidden, multi-functional elements like custom pull out prep surfaces that tuck away, pop up utensil vessels, and a dish drying rack in the cabinet above the sink. Kitchen finishes included custom cabinetry with white automotive paint finish and oak cabinets stained a matte jet black. We anchored the space with one of our favorite light fixtures, the Moooi Random light.

This 1912 traditional style house sits on the edge of Cheesman Park with four levels that needed updating to better suit the young family’s needs. A custom wine room was constructed on the lower level to accommodate an area for entertaining guests. The main level was divided into a smaller family room area with a double door opening into the formal living room. The kitchen and butler’s pantry were combined and remodeled for better function. The second level master bathroom was relocated and created out of an adjacent bedroom, incorporating an existing fireplace and Juliet balcony that looks out to the park. A new staircase was constructed on the third level as a continuation of the grand staircase in the center of the house. A gathering and play space opens off the stairs and connects to the third-floor deck. A Jill & Jill bathroom remodel was constructed between the girls’ rooms.

An amazing Midcentury Eclectic custom kitchen! The Cabinet Face custom Walnut Slab fronts also conceal Thermador panel ready appliances. Adding our DIY Paint Grade MDF fronts to the island allow for a splash of color to be introduced to this stunning space.
