The existing upstairs attic space had two small and hard-to-access bedrooms and a dangerous staircase. The team added a new dormer on the west side of the house which added an additional 195 square feet to the home. The new space includes a master bedroom, master bathroom with vanity and shower, separate water closet, laundry, walk-in master closet, and option to add a small bedroom (the space is currently being used as an open office area). The countertops are a combination of soapstone and Quartzite. We even squeezed in the "small but pretty" farm sink! After remodeling their 1905 Craftsman house, the homeowners were ready to tackle the yard. The front was easily spruced up with a new walkway and plantings, but the steep, wooded backyard was a much bigger challenge. Rebuilding a failing retaining wall was the first step to creating access to the previously overgrown space. Concrete patios with natural stone steps provide space for a hot tub and fire pit, completely transforming the dangerous eyesore.

The new cedar posts, stair, custom cabinets and handcrafted sliding doors are among the details that were chosen to complement the restoration of the underlying building, ensuring a long life for this peaceful retreat.

Walkway to the boat dock. Our clients have a very aggressive slope in their backyard which made it dangerous for them and their guests as they carried things to their boat. To fix this, we created a beautiful natural walkway!

A comfortable bedroom with a gently vaulted ceiling features a recessed niche showcasing a favorite surfboard. Warm white walls create a spacious backdrop highlighting the intentional inclusion of a few dramatic elements. A vertical mirror doubles as a hidden closet door, well chosen artwork hints at the perpetual, potentially dangerous nature of the sea, a slatted walnut dresser provides horizontal stability, while a well balanced surfboard, in three tones of gray keeps one's thoughts aloft.

To capitalize on the elevation, a portable spa was incorporated into the raised patio. Overall Excellence: What began as a refurbishment of an existing swimming pool; evolved into a total backyard transformation. Slate pavers and Versa-Lok wall units helped create an outdoor paradise for family and entertainment use with a new pool deck, raised fire pit, raised stage to host musicians, outdoor kitchen and more.

This blue and white kitchen simply POPS! This narrow galley kitchen had pretty good placement of its appliances originally, except for the double ovens. (see before picture). We had to move those down, so when in use you weren't 1-blocking the door way and 2-dangerously close to the cook top. We also wanted to give these new homeowner more countertop space for prep, and a place for them to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a place for the kids to do homework while mom & dad worked on dinner. HOMEREDI did an amazing job bringing our design to fruition. I just love the gold fixtures the homeowner selected for the final touches. The gold looks amazing against our blue cabinetry. The combo just screams luxury, doesn't it?
