In the cozy living room of their suburban home, the dominant feature was the sleek dark brown wood flooring that stretched out beneath their feet. The room was adorned with tasteful elements that blended seamlessly with the elegant flooring. Above, a network of AC ducts crisscrossed the ceiling, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for both the kids and adults who spent time in this inviting space. The ceiling fan, with its dark brown wooden blades, added a touch of rustic charm and provided a gentle, cooling breeze during hot summer days. The room was bathed in a warm and welcoming light, courtesy of the soft glow emanating from the ceiling lights. Their warm, amber hues complemented the dark brown theme and wood elements, giving the space a comfortable ambiance. Against one wall stood a beautiful glass cabinet, proudly displaying cherished family mementos and carefully arranged toys. It was a source of endless fascination for the kids, who often gazed at the figurines and trinkets through the glass, their faces filled with wonder. In the center of the room, two plush leather sofas invited visitors to sink into their comfortable cushions. The white leather sofa contrasted beautifully with the dark brown wood flooring and was adorned with pillows, offering a cozy spot for the family to relax and chat. A TV was mounted on the wall, framed by an exquisite wall frame that held a collection of cherished family photos. It was the focal point of the room, drawing everyone's attention during movie nights or big sporting events. The client wanted an elegant, cozy dining room. The walls were painted a dark chocolate brown. Modern art in turquoise and white was used to pop against the dark walls. The client's existing dining table was used, but white upholstered chairs with silver nailhead trim were added. The outdated chandelier was replaced with a crystal and chrome bubble chandelier and became the centerpiece of the room. Silver and turquoise accessories completed the room. In a cozy living room with rich, dark brown wood flooring, you'll find two contrasting leather sofas. The first, a plush white leather sofa, stands against a crisp white wall, creating a striking visual contrast. A colorful array of pillows adorns the sofa, adding a lively touch to the room's overall aesthetic. The second sofa, a deep, inviting leather one, sits nearby, promising comfort for anyone who chooses to sink into its cushions. Overhead, a ceiling fan swirls lazily, circulating the air in the room. Its blades match the dark brown theme of the wooden flooring, seamlessly blending into the decor. The room is illuminated by elegant ceiling lights that cast a warm, inviting glow. Kährs Chevron – chic, classic looks with a modern twist. Kährs has introduced a new patterned wood floor collection for Spring 2016. Inspiration for a large transitional master dark wood floor and brown floor bedroom remodel in Toronto with blue walls and no fireplace

When a young professional couple approached us to decorate the main floor of their brand new modern townhouse in Port Coquitlam, we were very excited. Having moved from a Gastown condo, the couple was eager to infuse this suburban location with a funky yet sophisticated downtown vibe. They were also looking for a neutral backdrop with some hits of colour and asked us to incorporate wallpaper. The statement artwork that we selected above the fireplace set the tone for this project. We started with a pair of sleek neutral leather sofas to maximize seating in the small living space and layered them with a variety of toss pillows in blues, teals & turquoise then added a few pops of orange. We defined the front entrance and dining area with a stunning marbleized grey and white wallpaper by Graham and Brown. The dark wood furniture in the dining area adds contrast and sophistication balancing the dark stained kitchen cabinets opposite. The resulting look is clean, modern and playful.
