We love this build because family really was at the heart of it all. When our retired client wanted to move closer to family, she hired Cameron to split her daughter’s lot to suite the new build and turn her dreams into reality. We selected the right Cameron spec home as the base of our design and then added custom finishing details at our client's request, without all the extra space she no longer needed. With a functional kitchen for cooking and baking, vaulted ceilings, radiant floor heating, and a grand owner’s suite that included a walk-out patio, our client could not wait to move in. Now, rather than visiting with her daughter only at holidays and the occasional long-weekend, the two can visit daily. We will also bet our client gets her daughter to lend a helping hand in the home’s impressive and extensive English garden fairly frequently too.

Now client's daughter’s room, this had been functioning as a second guest bedroom and was ready for a makeover, starting with the wall covering. We were able to keep the existing drapes, and repurpose the giant mirror by painting the frame; thus creating a savings in the budget and enabling the client to choose to indulge in a new high-quality chair, a gorgeous, unique, high-end fabric for the ottoman, by Katie Ridder — and the biggest investment, the custom-designed and hand-built bunk bed by Randall Wilson and Sons. The rose-colored hand-knotted oriental rug, sourced via PAK is another high-quality piece that had originally been purchased for the daughter’s nursery and transitioned easily to her new room. A lot of love and time went into designing that custom bed. Especially the detailed railing, the drawer handles, incorporating the bookshelf into the headboard, and the choosing the contrasting wood for the ladder. We were able to keep the existing drapes, and repurpose the giant mirror by painting the frame; thus creating a savings in the budget and enabling the client to choose to indulge in a new high-quality chair, a gorgeous, unique, high-end fabric for the ottoman, by Katie Ridder — and the biggest investment, the custom-designed and hand-built bunk bed by Randall Wilson and Sons. This project was a delight to work on because not only did I get to design a completely new bathroom for this client, I also got to work with his daughter who was a co-decision maker. We started with an outdated bathroom from 1972. Although we were to stay within the original floor plan, CSG created a more open space. The room has a skylight, so that helped. We upgraded this main bathroom for the retired professor who was so pleased ! The new aesthetic brought forth a cheery and uplifting experience in the most routine things we do daily, use our bathrooms. Kids' room - contemporary kids' room idea in Chicago

When a warranty job surfaced in their daughter’s ensuite bathroom, these homeowners decided to have some fun when updating this small but mighty bathroom design. With their daughter’s input, they decided to go with a colorful, bold, elongated subway tile in a peacock green color paired with oversized white penny rounds. Both tile designs offer a timeless feature but with a modern twist. Paired with a single vanity with a grey paint to help balance out the rest of the bold color statements.
