A new project for a wine bar. Out of deadlines because of strikes and windy weather; had nothing to do but to offer a "gift" to an owner - this wall painting. This public WC belongs to the restaurant but still has no doors. We tried to create an art object meanwhile it would be ready for use. Many thanks to all the guests of the restaurant who enjoyed our design and had no problems to use an old WC

This is a luxury resort set on 660 oceanside acres on New Providence in the Bahamas. While it was a pleasure working with wonderful clients who allowed me full design freedom, it was more challenging than my usual domestic design projects, due to a seamless coordination required for exporting a crate full of furnishings, artwork and accessories within a tight deadline. The end result is a serene and elegant beach house with a perfect hint of tropical flare.

Our Clients, a retired couple with a dog, were first time renovators. They approached Sosna to renovate their outdated Shared Bathroom because they were embarrassed for guests to use it. The cluttered layout was difficult to navigate, and it lacked useful storage space. As well, there was no fan for proper ventilation. They were concerned about a renovation being messy, and disrupting their everyday lives, as they would be living in their home during construction. They also had a tight deadline that needed to be met. We completed this project on time, with great care taken so the family would be comfortable during the duration of construction. The Bathroom was given a fresh update with clean, modern tiles on the floor and shower walls, which were complimented with herringbone accent tiles. A glass shower door provided a more open and airy feel to the space. A stylish navy blue navy blue prefabricated vanity adorned with elegant gold hardware and a brushed nickel faucet, as well as a white freestanding cabinet, and wall mounted cabinet provided plenty of useful storage space. The Shared Bathroom was tied together with a blend of gold and brushed nickel hardware used throughout. As a result of the renovation, the couple now enjoys a fresh and modern Shared Bathroom that they take pride in showing to their guests. The addition of extra storage space has eliminated clutter, and everything has its place. The installation of a timer fan ensures proper ventilation. These updates have significantly improved the functionality of the Bathroom, creating a more comfortable and useful space for the family.

The entry was cramped, which was especially noticeable when several people were coming in, or when carrying in groceries. The Shared Bathroom was too small, and lacked enough room for their teenage children to store their individual belongings. Additionally, since both clients work from home, a dedicated office space was essential. On the Main Floor, we relocated the closet at the entry, making the entrance more spacious, and the Powder Room was given an update and new fixtures. The wall between the Kitchen and Dining Room was removed, which opened up the Main Floor. Half of the space this created was used to create a much larger Kitchen with ample gathering space for our client’s large family. The new custom Kitchen boasts plenty of dark cabinetry with wood accents, and is complimented by a beautiful quartz countertop and matching black fixtures. The other half of the newly created space was transformed into a quiet, functional home office. In the new office, a wall of built-in cabinetry offers useful storage for both work and hobby items, creating the perfect space for both work and crafting. On the Second Floor, we expanded the Shared Bathroom by using space from the Guest Bedroom closet and the Second Floor Office. We replaced the bathtub shower combo with a spacious grand shower and added a large vanity and makeup area, giving each teenager their own dedicated personal storage space. In the Master Ensuite, we altered the entryway location, allowing for a redesigned layout that includes a large vanity and double sink, enhancing both functionality and storage. Our clients expressed their happiness with the renovation process with Sosna, specifically how clean the construction area was kept, and how respectful the Sosna team was of their home and neighbours. This very unique kitchen design contains two islands and kitchen on the perimeter of the room. This kitchen was separated into smaller kitchen and eating area that with this new design , we merged into one big kitchen. We also opened up the kitchen to the adjacent living room creating one open concept which greatly contributing to clients desired purpose. We removed the load bearing post that separated the kitchen from eating area as well as the main load bearing wall between the kitchen and living room creating the opening over 10 feet wide. This kitchen also incorporated the dogs crate as the owner is a dog trainer and needed to be a part of this kitchen. The smaller island has waterfalls as well as decorative high gloss macassar ebony panel at the back. This is a working island where small bar sink and faucet allow this surface to be used as an additional preparation surface. The bigger island has an overhang for 4 counter stools and in housing the beverage/wine fridge and book shelf which finishes of the end of the island Two big pendant lights are finishing the look of the big island.
