The roof was replaced with new insulation, flashing and leaders to the gutter system. The roof was replaced and the roof top deck that will be made of Trex will be added soon as part of this project.

This view of this Chicago rooftop deck from the guest bedroom. The cedar pergola is lit up at night underneath. On top of the pergola is live roof material which provide shade and beauty from above. The walls are sleek and contemporary using two three materials. Cedar, steel, and frosted acrylic panels. The modern rooftop is on a garage in wicker park. Inspiration for a large timeless backyard outdoor kitchen deck remodel in DC Metro with a pergola

We remodeled this particular deck with Trex Transcends maintenance free decking material. Three Trex Transcends colors were used on the deck: Tree House is featured in the main area of the deck. Vintage Lantern outlines the deck's perimeter as well as the bottom and top railing system. White posts perfectly accent the entire deck space. The deck posts also have Trex LED light caps, so the entire deck can illuminate once the sun has set.

An excellent example of complimenting an already existing structure. This beautiful Rich Sequoia attached DIY pergola kit is attached to the top of the pre-existing timber railing posts and —by all appearances— one would think the deck and pergola were the same structure, built at the same time. The pergola covers an outdoor kitchen and dining area and features the integrated power posts wherein the power lines run through the length of the posts —fully protected and pre-wired for convenience.

This wooded deck retreat features composite decking material by Fiberon, shown here in the Horizon line in 'Ipe'. The Ipe color reflects the beauty of natural and exotic hardwoods, complete with subtle streaking and varied wood grain patterns. Fiberon hidden fasteners were also used to create a polished, seamless deck surface.
