This community resides within the Coastal Commission's jurisdiction which has decreed that "light transmission" through guard rail balusters must exceed 75%* (as I recall).
The neighbors have installed cable rail to meet the spec.
The clients have puppies and weren't sure what mischief the floppy eared miscreants might get into with an open system.

Wainscoting of stairs and entries decrees a home built with an eye to detail, this entry and narrative is forever altered in any visitors eye.

Rivermeade Residence by Bill Caldwell of Harrison Design
Envisioned by the owner as a seamless assimilation of house and garden, Rivermeade was conceived as a collaborative effort between owner, architect, and landscape architect. The 2.5 acre site lies in the shadow of historic Standing Peachtree Fort at the Chattahoochee River and abuts a conservation easement, providing delightful views to a natural meadow and wildlife. The owner’s decree was to have a view to a garden from every window in the house, so the landscape was designed as seven garden rooms oriented in relation to the house. Each garden space accents the home’s design through the use of complementary building materials and features garden pieces collected by the owner over the years.
Since its construction, Rivermeade has been featured on the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Connoisseur’s Tour and provided a backdrop for Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse television sitcom. Photo by Lee Ann White

The Delta Faucet "Cassidy" series fixtures are joined here by a 16" shower arm that mounts an inspiring Rectangular rain fall shower head from the "Vero" line. Any Queen would love the Adjustable Hand Shower as she prepares herself for court. The diverter valve responds to any royal decree for either independent or combined operation.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option!

Our client tasked us with creating a versatile workspace for their family, including a daughter in college. Space was at a premium in their downtown loft, so we needed to create an efficient space that could be changed in the future to fulfill other needs. Our solution was a custom metal desk on casters, topped with concrete quartz. The office has little natural light, so white lacquered cabinets and metallic wallpaper were used to add life to the space.

Engineered cedar siding creates beautiful gray-blue tones at the exterior of the home, while adding a textural element to activate the simple exterior design.
