Old world Spanish Villa with deep, thick plaster walls and groin vaults. Arches are plentiful, along with views of the Thousand Oaks and Westlake valley. This comfortable home is designed for a wonderful, fun family with two children. The place of many gatherings of friends and family, it radiates a warmth and love of good times with great friends. Deep rich blues, aqua and terra cotta colors throughout this home, with travertine versaille patterned floors. Deep loggia and patios all around the home take advantage of all the mountain and valley views, while keeping the family and friends warm in cooler times. The entire sprawling villa is wrapped around an inside patio with a fountain and hand made Malibu Tile pots. All furniture is hand made, from distressed and rustic tables to custom upholstery in jewel tones. A built in bar for entertaining in the great room, a very large family room with deep blue fabric wrap around sofa, hand knotted rugs in the living room, master bedroom and family room. A master suite with light creamy white walls, a plaster fireplace and a metal poster bed looks through a sitting room with turquoise accents. The home has 6 fireplaces, of which three are outside, some carved in limestone, others in spanish plaster. Designed by Maraya Interior Design. ## A very formal and detailed library The entire custom woodwork is built out of the highest quality of cherry wood. Deep red-brown staining adds richness and formality to the design. The detailed coffered ceiling, an artistic and luxurious piece of millwork, consists of many layers of moldings and milled solid wood. Custom embossing of the moldings adds formality and richness to the design. This beautiful woodwork is also featured in the custom-made corbels, arched cabinets, and fluted columns.

Bringing the outdoors in and letting ample light flood the room, this window back splash was the perfect opportunity to do so. Stainless Steel undermounted sinks allow a clean look next to the white easy to clean quartz counter top. A built up flamed black absolute granite adds texture and creates an informal eat-in kitchen space.

A colorblocked wall in Purple Passion provides the perfect backdrop as an enhancement of the artist's own original artwork. We added coffered ceilings with recessed lighting; the interesting definition is created in the new coffered ceiling by adding additional depth with gray paint. This balances the purple wall and coordinates with sofa and animal print on the chairs. A hand-knotted custom rug in a contemporary pattern grounds the conversation grouping, and motorized shades can be lowered to protect the furnishings or raised to any point to expose the beautiful ocean view. In the bathroom, the natural Arabescato marble floors surround the shower walls as well, making a luxurious statement. The freestanding tub is the perfect size for true comfort. The walnut cabinetry adds a deep richness to the owner’s bath and matches the custom walk-in closet.
