In this project we blew out a wall and expanded the laundry room space into the unused portion of the clients 3.5 gar garage. This created a massive space where you can store your shoes and coats, and do the laundry in pure comfort. They now have an abundance of storage space for all things from detergents, to flip flops, and everything in between. Starmark Cabinetry was used in this project, the flooring is porcelain, counters are quartz, and back splash is carrera marble.

After applying detergent and power washing wood deck in Atlanta to prepare for new stain. Then applying Superdeck semi transparent oil stain. What a difference !

The laundry room in a typical London apartment may not be very spacious, but it is an essential feature that adds convenience to residents' lives. It is usually tucked away in a small corner of the apartment, often near the kitchen or bathroom.
The laundry room is where residents can find a washer and dryer, which is particularly useful in a city where space is at a premium, and not everyone has the luxury of having their own washing machine. The laundry room is also where residents can store laundry detergents, fabric softeners, and other cleaning supplies.
Despite its small size, the laundry room is an essential space that serves a vital purpose for residents, allowing them to keep their clothes clean without having to leave the comfort of their own apartment.

Revamping the laundry room brings a blend of functionality and style to an often-overlooked space. Upgrading appliances to energy-efficient models enhances efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
Custom cabinetry and shelving solutions maximize storage for detergents, cleaning supplies, and laundry essentials, promoting an organized and clutter-free environment. Consideration of ergonomic design, such as a folding counter or ironing station, streamlines tasks and adds a touch of convenience.
Thoughtful lighting choices, perhaps with LED fixtures or natural light sources, contribute to a bright and inviting atmosphere. Flooring upgrades for durability, such as water-resistant tiles or easy-to-clean materials, can withstand the demands of laundry tasks.
Ultimately, a remodeled laundry room not only elevates its practical functionality but also transforms it into a well-designed, efficient space that makes the often-dreaded chore of laundry a more pleasant experience.

In order to fit in a full sized W/D, we reconfigured the layout, as the new washer & dryer could not be side by side. By removing a sink, the storage increased to include a pull out for detergents, and 2 large drop down wire hampers.

Frosted glass, ebony wood and smooth pebbles come together in a contemporary dark wood kitchen that’s rich in texture and color, creating a stunning environment of natural beauty and elegance.
Highlighted between two vertical cabinets, a Monogram® stainless steel ventilation hood becomes a sculptural focal point in the kitchen. Below the hood, a 36" induction cooktop has a mirrored metallic surface that picks up colors and shapes from the metallic, pebbled backsplash.
A built-in side-by-side refrigerator with European styling also beautifully reflects the wealth of modern sophistication within the room. Smooth from edge to edge, with a polished finish, the dark wood door panels have a flawless appearance that’s punctuated by slim, tubular handles.

Enclosed laundry machines with new closet construction. Carpet flooring was replaced with LVP Wood Grain flooring. New double bi-fold door installed. For easy of access, customer wanted a shelf, instead of cabinets above laundry machines, for laundry detergents, etc.

Renovation is stressful. Wouldn’t it be nice to let someone else oversee product selections, manage day-to-day issues, and bring your project to a successful completion? The owners of a two-family in Arlington recently did just that, flying off to Florida just as we began renovating their first floor unit.
Of course, before they left we thoroughly discussed all aspects of the work order, which included renovating the kitchen and bathroom, painting the bedroom, and adding a laundry closet. We reviewed color and material selections, and set up a schedule for regular briefings.
A handful of issues did come up. But because we had planned ahead, we were able to resolve them with very little stress for our clients. For instance, the client had chosen a bright yellow paint color for the kitchen walls, but once the new cabinets, countertop, and flooring had been installed, it was clear that yellow would clash. We suggested a more complementary Benjamin Moore Lancaster Whitewash shade instead.
In the bathroom, the clients had selected a deep inset mirrored medicine cabinet. But when the wall behind the vanity was opened, it revealed a pipe running up the wall, too close for the inset model. In this small space, a bump-out medicine cabinet would be awkward, so instead we placed a mirror over the sink and two smaller inset cabinets on either side – a solution that pleased the homeowners, who now have his-and-hers storage spaces.
Finally, the homeowners had resigned themselves to the fact that the laundry closet would be too small for storing detergent and other needs. However once the units were in place, we realized that a small custom shelf could be built and had it installed to the delight of the homeowners.

We managed to squeeze in a lot in this tight space! Upper storage, small sink, and a narrow pull out on castors for laundry detergent etc. We made a shelf out of the leftover countertop material for the bench seat.

In this 2014 Parade of homes, the homeowners wanted an open great room concept for the kitchen, dining and living room space with large windows overlooking Lake Onalaska. The kitchen needed to function well while being warm and attractive. I was able to create some additional countertop work space in the island with increasing the depth of the side panel on the end giving the appearance of a 30" deep cabinet but saving the owners the cost of a deeper cabinet. Because the work triangle was getting to be too large using the main sink, we added an additional bar sink in the island giving a more workable space. In the compact laundry room, with the window above the washer and dryer, there was no space for storage for the detergents, so we took part of the 6 foot closet from the adjoining bedroom and recessed a laundry tub and wall storage cabinet into that space.
