This centrally located intersection to a main thoroughfare a block away was a concern because of the corner lot visibility issue for cars making a turn driving in either direction. The Quince tree bloomed annually for just a short time and was originally planted by the prior home owners decades ago. Keeping it maintained to a height of 4’ maximum, dictated for safety reasons, was still obstructing and limiting the visibility of oncoming traffic at this busy intersection.
The existing roses planted in the same space as the Quince were a perfect backdrop to the new perennials and annuals planted to paint this corner with flowers. The project also included expanding the beautification to both corner areas in coordination with several other planting areas already seasonally updated on the property. With the Redwood Tree as a focal point and Roses, Daphnes, Iris, Azaleas, Fuchsias, Hydrangeas and Camilias highlighting the planting beds the addition of color, including around the driveway and side entrance, transformed the entire space.

Designing an object was accompanied by certain difficulties. The owners bought a plot on which there was already a house. Its quality and appearance did not suit customers in any way. Moreover, the construction of a house from scratch was not even discussed, so the architects Vitaly Dorokhov and Tatyana Dmitrenko had to take the existing skeleton as a basis. During the reconstruction, the protruding glass volume was demolished, some structural elements of the facade were simplified. The number of storeys was increased and the height of the roof was increased. As a result, the building took the form of a real English home, as customers wanted.
The planning decision was dictated by the terms of reference. And the number of people living in the house. Therefore, in terms of the house acquired 400 m \ 2 extra.
The entire engineering structure and heating system were completely redone. Heating of the house comes from wells and the Ecokolt system.
The climate system of the house itself is integrated into the relay control system that constantly maintains the climate and humidity in the house.

2014 Legacy of Design 1st Place Award Traditional Living Space. The chair pictured here had recently been purchased by our client and used in another room. Our goal was to incorporate the chairs into the room but not let the red, brown or gold dictate the color scheme. We always love a challenge and were up for it! We pulled the gray from the chair and teamed it with yellow for a fresh updated look. To help the red make sense and give the room an unexpected pop of color, we used it on the upholstered coffee table/ottoman legs. The walls were painted "greige" and the ceiling and bookshelves were painted darker, creating a cozy yet sophisticated place where the family could read or converse together. Custom shades and window treatments soften the look and complete the room.

Mark Rosenhaus, CKD. The cabinet sizes are based on Fibonacci Numbers to create a composition similar to a three dimensional Mondrian. The inspiration comes from the space itself. Various beams, heat pipe and gas meter dictate the sizes of the cabinets.
Pleasing squares, Golden Rectangles, negative space and horizontal lift up doors whirl around the 10’ high space in a spiral pattern similar to the Nautilus seashell.
The ribbed sliding glass doors allow access to the cabinet without open doors in your face and also give direction.

The name says it all. This lot was so close to Camelback mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ, that the views would, in essence, be from the front yard. So to capture the views from the interior of the home, we did a "twist" and designed a home where entry was from the back of the lot. The owners had a great interest in European architecture which dictated the old-world style. While the style of the home may speak of centuries past, this home reflects modern Arizona living with spectacular outdoor living spaces and breathtaking views from the pool.

The layout was designed for the couple to be able to work together in the kitchen, or independently.
The on-set of a neuromuscular disorder was the basis for this custom kitchen and required the complete customization of this space to the specific needs of the client, as well as to his wife who does most the cooking on a daily basis.
Although largely dictated by the husband's need for accessibility, the universal design of this kitchen is also extremely friendly for a person of smaller stature (his wife!)
The couple feels at home in this kitchen yet, it’s not obvious that someone with physical limitations utilizes this space.
The Crystal Keyline island, range-hood and accessible cooktop area are focal points, finished in Antique Ivory w/Brown Highlights, that contrast nicely with Crystal Keyline Toasted Rye w/Brown Highlights cabinetry. The Bayfield door style unifies the design.
An accessible prep area next to the right of the stove allows plenty of room for multiple cooks in the kitchen.
Typhoon Bordeaux granite countertops are layered in staggered heights for ease of access as well as added visual interest.
