The owner was renovating the family homestead on a large farm and wanted a French Country kitchen that was warm and inviting. We selected and antique white with Espresso glaze and used Dura Supreme’s Nob Hill door style to accomplish this. We were able to enlarge the original kitchen by taking out the hallway behind it and incorporating that space into the kitchen which allows room for a center eat-in table. The pull out fillers with decorative pilasters, corbels on the wood hood, fluted clipped corners with decorator ends all add to the French Country design while providing the functions of unique storage and traffic flow thru the space. The mullion doors by the sink make it feel more airy and open and tie in with built in hutch cabinetry at the end of the room proudly displaying the family antique dinnerware. The subway tile with the simple decorative design behind the cooktop provide durability without being overpowering to the cabinetry details. Dining room - traditional dining room idea in Omaha

Set in the dining room of our home BannockBurn 1878 this tablescape was part of my Holiday style collaboration with Bradshaws ( located in Stratford Ontario.) We used many products from their wonderful shop to create a festive holiday table. Starting with a whimsical striped table runner in paper and then adding layers of texture and interest with silver placemats, Le Crucet dinnerware, Waterford crystal, candleholders and charming silver trees we set the stage for making memories.

This is by far everybody’s favorite space. The kitchen is definitely the heart of the home where the dinner is getting ready, the homework is done, and in the family room the whole family can relax in front of the fireplace, while watching TV, listening to music, or playing video games. Whites with warm walnuts, light marble, and splashes of color are the key features in this modern family headquarters. The kitchen was meticulously designed to accommodate storage for numerous kitchen gadgets, cookware, and dinnerware that the family owned. Behind these simple and clean contemporary kitchen cabinet doors, there are multiple ergonomic and functional features that make this kitchen a modern chef’s dream

The kitchen island has pull up stools and drop in sink with overhead glass light fixture. Three seasons of the year the wall of windows pocket back to a single panel and the deck becomes an addition dining space.
