Geometry in nature is based on the golden proportion derived from the fibonacci numbers. The golden rectangle is where the width is 62% of it's height. This pleasing proportion is the basis for how we judge beauty. It can be seen in plants, animals, a beautiful face, art and architecture. Your project will have the movement and vitality created dynamic symmetry.

The mudroom creates a space where all of the dirt and clutter of an active outdoor life can be left behind. It also provides a spot to organize all those things that come and go on a daily basis such as keys, phones, leashes, shoes, coats, and even Fido's chew toy.

Although largely dictated by the husband's need for accessibility, the universal design of this kitchen is also extremely friendly for a person of smaller stature (his wife!)
The Crystal Keyline island, range-hood and accessible cooktop area are focal points, finished in Antique Ivory w/Brown Highlights, that contrast nicely with Crystal Keyline Toasted Rye w/Brown Highlights cabinetry. The Bayfield door style unifies the design.
An accessible prep area next to the right of the stove allows plenty of room for multiple cooks in the kitchen.
Typhoon Bordeaux granite countertops are layered in staggered heights for added visual interest.
The on-set of a neuromuscular disorder was the basis for this custom kitchen and required the complete customization of this space to the specific needs of the client, as well as to his wife who does most the cooking on a daily basis. The layout was designed for the couple to be able to work together in the kitchen, or independently.
The couple feels at home in this kitchen yet, it’s not obvious that someone with physical limitations utilizes this space.

The goal for the family room was to create a user friendly space to play music and games, but also offer adult friendly features including a secondary bar and kitchen. To add to the multi-functionality, we installed reclaimed soji wood sliding barn doors to create guest room space on an as needed basis, which allows the family to maximize the area when guests aren’t visiting. Vanillawood customization in this room included a graffiti art wall, an Italian sofa, touch latch hidden storage and recessed display shelving.

The classical styling of gambrel sheds is
admirable. This gambrel-style shed is 10 ft. wide with 6 ft. sidewalls and a 10 ft. high peak. The stand-tall storage space is great for adding a loft to store seasonal items or additional tools and equipment that aren't used on a daily basis. This is a favorite for those looking for extra storage space outside for seasonal items such as Christmas decoration. Can be customized with a loft, windows, skylight and much more.

Walk in showers are the new standard in New England homes. The ease and comfort of a large shower space gives homeowners the feeling of being in a spa setting. This is where they "get away from it all" on a daily basis. We are seeing these happen not only in master bathrooms but also in the main family bath, as well. The use of glass, ceramic or porcelain tile can be accented by granite or quartz pieces for the seat, threshold and niche shelf. Designs and photos by Wellesley Kitchen and Bath.

This MossCreek custom designed family retreat features several historically authentic and preserved log cabins that were used as the basis for the design of several individual homes. MossCreek worked closely with the client to develop unique new structures with period-correct details from a remarkable collection of antique homes, all of which were disassembled, moved, and then reassembled at the project site. This project is an excellent example of MossCreek's ability to incorporate the past in to a new home for the ages. Photo by Erwin Loveland

This unique screened porch located in Darnestown, Maryland provides its hard-working homeowner with an abundance of outdoor space. Situated on a vast wooded lot, the views are absolutely stunning. The elevated sun deck wraps around the complete rear facade the home and features unique cut-outs and a sizable screen room.
To successfully preserve the lot's lively green view, a delicate SCREENEZE screening system was used in the screened room in conjunction with WOLF vinyl railings and Deckorators Classic Balusters. The 3/4" round balusters, which are also found around the deck's organic perimeter, blend in seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. AZEK low-maintenance PVC decking serves as the basis of both the deck and the top cop on the handrail system.
Multiple sliding doors give access to the screened-in porch and deck, and all of the materials used in the build are low-maintenance.

Mike and Stacy moved to the country to be around the rolling landscape and feed the birds outside their Hampshire country home. After living in the home for over ten years, they knew exactly what they wanted to renovate their 1980’s two story once their children moved out. It all started with the desire to open up the floor plan, eliminating constricting walls around the dining room and the eating area that they didn’t plan to use once they had access to what used to be a formal dining room.
They wanted to enhance the already warm country feel their home already had, with some warm hickory cabinets and casual granite counter tops. When removing the pantry and closet between the kitchen and the laundry room, the new design now just flows from the kitchen directly into the smartly appointed laundry area and adjacent powder room.
The new eat in kitchen bar is frequented by guests and grand-children, and the original dining table area can be accessed on a daily basis in the new open space. One instant sensation experienced by anyone entering the front door is the bright light that now transpires from the front of the house clear through the back; making the entire first floor feel free flowing and inviting.

Capitol City Homes presents an under-stairs hidden gun safe. This closet space is designed to be hidden as a custom bookcase, but behind the shelves is a lock to open the safe. The bookcase will swing out, revealing a hidden safe area.

The Abington inset door-style from Dewils Cabinetry creates the perfect backdrop for this modern take on Spanish-Revival. Two-tone cabinetry – Just White and Caffe on Cherry – paired with furniture-like posts, give just enough detail to allow for visual interest without distracting from other details like the Mission Tile West Revival tile in Count Basie Blue or the Pottery Barn pendants with Edison bulbs. Caesarstone countertops in Calacatta Nuvo and Arto Brick hexagon floor tile along with the Stone Impressions tile mural and tin ceilings provide the classic touches and richness a Spanish-inspired kitchen needs while remaining sophisticated and elegant with a muted Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee paint.
