The ultimate kid's bedroom. Perfect for sleepovers or extra beds for guests.
Our clients wanted space for two adjustable full-size beds and two twin-size beds. We brought that to life with a functional and beautiful farmhouse design, incorporating shiplap, lighting, and charging outlets.

Do you have a small apartment or studio and need space saving furniture ideas? Do you have a den or office that needs to double as a guestroom? A Murphy Bed system might be just what you’re looking for! This style looks like a glossy lacquered wall in your room and when closed takes up very little space. When you want to study or work on your computer, just open the cabinet and drop down a desk! There’s plenty of room for office work, study books or even craft projects to fit on this roomy desk. When you’re tired and want to get some sleep, just open it all the way and the desk drops down, instantly giving you a twin bed ready to crawl into! In the morning, it all closes up, giving you an uncluttered, open area for your studio or apartment. If you’re using it in a study, you can keep the desk open and just open the bed for guests when they sleep over. This Murphy Bed system is constructed from the highest quality materials and the mechanism is technologically new gas springs, that open and close with no effort. Having a Murphy Bed System is like having a room in a box.

Overview
Extension and complete refurbishment.
The Brief
The existing house had very shallow rooms with a need for more depth throughout the property by extending into the rear garden which is large and south facing. We were to look at extending to the rear and to the end of the property, where we had redundant garden space, to maximise the footprint and yield a series of WOW factor spaces maximising the value of the house.
The brief requested 4 bedrooms plus a luxurious guest space with separate access; large, open plan living spaces with large kitchen/entertaining area, utility and larder; family bathroom space and a high specification ensuite to two bedrooms. In addition, we were to create balconies overlooking a beautiful garden and design a ‘kerb appeal’ frontage facing the sought-after street location.
Buildings of this age lend themselves to use of natural materials like handmade tiles, good quality bricks and external insulation/render systems with timber windows. We specified high quality materials to achieve a highly desirable look which has become a hit on Houzz.
Our Solution
One of our specialisms is the refurbishment and extension of detached 1930’s properties.
Taking the existing small rooms and lack of relationship to a large garden we added a double height rear extension to both ends of the plan and a new garage annex with guest suite.
We wanted to create a view of, and route to the garden from the front door and a series of living spaces to meet our client’s needs. The front of the building needed a fresh approach to the ordinary palette of materials and we re-glazed throughout working closely with a great build team.

Living room - contemporary living room idea in Providence with white walls

Nestled in the center of the room is a comfortable double bed, adorned with crisp, white cotton bed sheets that invite you to sink into their softness. Fluffy bed pillows and pillowcases are artfully arranged, creating an irresistible oasis for rest and relaxation. A wool blanket, thoughtfully draped at the foot of the bed, promises extra warmth during chilly nights.
On the nightstand, a table lamp stands tall, ready to illuminate your late-night reading adventures. Adjacent to the nightstand, a TV sits atop a tasteful TV stand, offering a portal to endless entertainment. The room's walls are adorned with personal touches, including a wall-mounted acrylic photo frame that captures cherished memories, while a collection of wall frames adds character and personality.
Amidst the daylight filtering through the window blinds, the outside world is discreetly hidden, providing you with a sense of privacy. The window blinds and shutters can be adjusted to your liking, allowing you to control the amount of sunlight that bathes the room. The wooden window blinds blend seamlessly with the dark brown wood flooring, creating a harmonious balance of colors and textures.
In this bedroom, every element has been thoughtfully chosen to create a haven of comfort and serenity, where you can retreat and escape from the outside world. It's a space designed for you to relax, unwind, and make your own, just as the talented interior designer, Jon Cancellino, intended.
