The mirror offers Jay's clients the chance to check out their form. It also doubles up on lighting creating a bright, energetic atmosphere. Jay had a fantastic image of Mohamed Ali that we cropped and enlarged to suit the space. Because the studio had natural symmetries we took the opportunity to add Jay's new logo to reinforce his brand. A masculine treatment of these frames balances the lighter elements in the studio. Check out this 3D Deck Design to the Finished Project. This was a unique deck with some new product. This original deck was already a good size but just a standard rectangle design. We wanted to create 2 spaces (Eating/Main and then a Fire Pit Area). The homeowners wanted a fire pit area on their deck, and really wanted to have a wood fire vs a gas. Because it is on a deck, I am not a fan of having a wood fire pit on a composite deck without protection due to the open flame. We then decided to do a Concrete Stamped Tile made from DekTek Tile. This product would allow us to have a fire proof area for the Wood Fire Pit. We wanted a special place for the fire pit, so we installed the DekTek Tile, then added a picture frame board in Timbertech Legacy Series in Mocha Color to highlight the area. The design of the deck went with the flow of the backyard because of the drop down cliff in the rear. We then jetted out the fire area so it would be away from the house, but also acted as it was more floating in the trees. The main decking was Timbertech PVC Capped Composite Decking (Main Color – Pecan) and then accented with Timbertech’s Legacy Series (Mocha Color). The railing was upgraded to Westbury’s Rivera Series (Double Top Rail) in the Bronze Color then a locking Westbury Gate was added. The Deck Lights were the final touch with the post caps lights and the Timbertech Riser Lights. This complete deck turned out amazing and one of a kind. Now the homeowners can enjoy their new deck and fire without maintenance!

All Weather teamed up with the Property Brothers and actress and comedian Ali Wong on this week’s episode of HGTV’s hit show Celebrity IOU. In the Ali Wong’s Renovation Surprise for A Dear Friend episode, Ali takes sledgehammers and crowbars into her own hands to help transform her best friend, Citadelle’s barren basement and backyard into the perfect indoor-outdoor entertaining space. Ali credits much of her early success to her best friend, Citadelle, whose tireless support helped her when she first started out in Los Angeles. “I really wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for her,” noted Ali. Citadelle opened up space in her home for Ali while she went on auditions. So years later, Ali knew it was time to give back in a big way. “Her friendship has been such a gift” said Ali. “I was supposed to stay there for two weeks and it ended up being a year.” With the help of Drew and Jonathan Scott, Ali was determined to update the entire lower level of Citadelle’s home inside and out and making these spaces as entertainment-friendly as possible for the whole family, including Citadelle’s husband and kids, to enjoy. The multipurpose downstairs basement makeover included turning the family room into a classy lounge with a built in bar, removing the basic stand up shower and replacing it with a luxurious spa tub with stone tiles and converting the guest bedroom into “an office by day and bedroom by night” courtesy of a hidden pull down Murphy bed. All Weather Series 7000 French Swing Doors extend and connect the indoor lounge area to the new outdoor living spaces. The ultimate backyard includes a stylish fireplace, white pergola, outdoor seating and dining area, an outdoor kitchen/grill and new turf for the yard and play structure areas. Once a dark, almost claustrophobic wooden box, I used modern colors and strong pieces with an industrial edge to bring light and functionality to this jewelers home studio. The blush works so magically with the charcoal grey on the walls and the furnishings stand up to the burly workbench which takes pride of place in the room. The blush doubles down and acts as a feminine edge on an otherwise very masculine room. The addition of greenery and gold accents on frames, plant stands and the mirror help that along and also lighten and soften the whole space. This is our very first Four Elements remodel show home! We started with a basic spec-level early 2000s walk-out bungalow, and transformed the interior into a beautiful modern farmhouse style living space with many custom features. The floor plan was also altered in a few key areas to improve livability and create more of an open-concept feel. Check out the shiplap ceilings with Douglas fir faux beams in the kitchen, dining room, and master bedroom. And a new coffered ceiling in the front entry contrasts beautifully with the custom wood shelving above the double-sided fireplace. The sunroom addition doubles up as a bright and open home office workspace. The large number of windows helps make the most of the bright natural light coming in, but also provides a great view of the backyard, without compromising on the backyard views. Pluming consists of a touch screen thermostatic control for operating the shower.
