This master bath was dark and dated. Although a large space, the area felt small and obtrusive. By removing the columns and step up, widening the shower and creating a true toilet room I was able to give the homeowner a truly luxurious master retreat. (check out the before pictures at the end) The ceiling detail was the icing on the cake! It follows the angled wall of the shower and dressing table and makes the space seem so much larger than it is. The homeowners love their Nantucket roots and wanted this space to reflect that.

The client's en-suite laundry room also recieved a renovation. Custom cabinetry was completed by Glenbrook Cabinetry, while the renovation and other finish choices were completed by Gardner/Fox

Young urban chic, semi-custom kitchen design with an eclectic mix of boho, farmhouse and industrial features and accents! All prefab cabinets mindfully designed to look custom, custom plaster range hood, reclaimed wood floating shelves and accent trim on hood, hammered brass hardware and sconces, Moravian star pendant light, beveled subway tile, Fireclay farm sink, custom drop leaf service cart that doubles as an island table with industrial bar stools, custom wine bar and iron mirror, custom bifold iron and glass French doors and a Turkish rug.

A repositioned sink allowed for better flow and adding cabinetry below the window created a better use of space for sorting and folding laundry. Barbara Bircher, CKD designed this multipurpose laundry/mud room to include the homeowner’s cat. Pets are an important member of one’s household so making sure we consider their needs is an important factor. Barbara designed a base cabinet with an open space to the floor to house the litter box keeping it out of the way and easily accessible for cleaning. Moving the washer, dryer, and laundry sink to the opposite outside wall allowed the dryer to vent directly out the back and added much needed countertop space around the laundry sink. A tall coat cabinet was incorporated to store seasonal outerwear with a boot bench and coat cubby for daily use. A tall broom cabinet designated a place for mops, brooms and cleaning supplies. The decorative corbels, hutch toe accents and bead board continued the theme from the cozy kitchen. Crystal Cabinets, Berenson hardware, Formica countertops, Blanco sink, Delta faucet, Mannington vinyl floor, Asko washer and dryer are some of the products included in this laundry/ mud room remodel.

The mudroom entry off the garage is expansive and houses a dog washing station, a second laundry for pool towels and muddy athletic clothing. We did gorgeous custom cabinetry in this pretty teal color with the gold decorative metal screening to allow the lockers to breath.
