This large living room features two separate sitting areas. The main sitting area faces the fireplace and t.v., while the other sitting area is surrounded by windows and faces the sliding glass doors to the outside. The fireplace features a stone surround which has a space for the t.v. and the DVD player. The ceiling is vaulted and features recessed lighting as well as ceiling fan lighting.

Out with the old. As a designer of the digital age, Ferrer didn’t need to leave her laptop to reset this room with all the latest devices, décor and computer comforts of modern life. First thing Ferrer did was send the Colonial-style entertainment center off to the woodpile, via TruckBuddy. Next the sagging drab olive sofa and loveseat, bulky coffee table, 26” TV, DVD player, stereo receiver, five-CD changer, external speakers and other vintage electronics and furnishings, found new homes via craigslist. Then, it was time to refresh the scene.

A spacious upstairs den boasts two flat screen televisions with DVD players and multiple gaming consoles. Comfortable low profile leather seating can be easily rearranged to make room for interactive games.

There are two built-in units here, left and right of the glass fireplace. We made the reclaimed mantle too. The cabinetry is inset, the top two drawer heads are slab, the bottom four are raised drawer heads. There is lots of details in this bookcase design, extra thick shelves, concave routed corners, arches, the countertop is stained concrete. It looks like logs in the middle, but it is actually a door hiding the dvd player.

The Roberts needed to use more effectively a long wall in their master bedroom. Trivonna designed this "massive" entertainment set, that also works as a dresser and shelving system for the family book collection. The cabinets are Bellmont 1600 in cherry, with Icon doors and they are stained in Bourbon.

This cabinet is in our Phoenix series of motorized TV lift cabinets. It was designed to accommodate a Samsung 65" Curved Ultra 4K HDTV television. In addition to the TV the furniture housed a Sonos PlayBar, Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player, and Cable box. The electronics were hidden inside the furniture yet fully operational through the use of a color screen radio frequency remote control. Steve Hartfelder
