Inspiration for an eclectic kitchen remodel in Seattle

Old asphalt apron was decayed so home owner wanted something more durable, but didn't want the bland appearance of plain concrete. So we poured a concrete slab 4 inches thick for a base then laid rows of brick and then filled in the spaces with dyed concrete to match the mortar on the house.

This is a natural, sand cast clay based red brick. It will not fade or lose it's color over years in the sun unlike most dyed concrete products. It is a timeless product that will not look dated.
