There is centralized lighting control both indoors and outdoors, an enterprise Wi-Fi network, HD surveillance, and a state of the art Crestron control system utilizing iPads and in-wall touch panels. Some of the special features of the facility is a powerful and sophisticated QSC Line Array audio system in the Great Hall, Sony and Crestron 4k Video throughout, a large outdoor audio system featuring in ground hidden subwoofers by Sonance surrounding the pool, and smart LED lighting inside the gorgeous infinity pool. Additional space between the toilet and facing vanity was gained by installing a wall-hung toilet. This also provides for easy cleaning. The client’s existing pleated shade works in the space with its dual control (top-down, bottom-up) feature. The toilet is in a recessed niche and the adjacent wall (facing tub) holds two 24” towel bars.

In this case, a difficult to enter drop-in tub and a tiny separate shower stall were replaced with a walk-in shower complete with multiple grab bars, shower seat, and an adjustable hand shower. For every challenge, we found an elegant solution, like placing the shower controls within easy reach of the seat. Along with modern updates to the rest of the bathroom, we created an inviting space that's easy and enjoyable for everyone.

The homeowners enjoy the complete control of their home, from lighting and shading to entertainment and security, through the Savant Control System. Homeowners and guests can easily create “scenes” to manage their days and social gatherings. Lutron shades help maintain light, climate and privacy to balance the inside and outside views. Outdoor entertaining is easy with the Sonance Landscape Audio System, Lutron light controls for pools and fountains and Savant control of outdoor fire pits. The fully managed Whyreboot network allows for uninterrupted system control. To maintain security, Holovision doors and gates are equipped with Doorbird system to notify residents of visitors and to give control to open and close doors and gates. Music lovers can enjoy the highest level in audio from Meridian 7200 speakers in the lower level, as well as, Sonance in wall and in ceiling speakers throughout the home. In order for the homeowners to enjoy different music and entertainment in various rooms, 14 zones of video and 26 zones of audio were necessary. Spire added many special touches to this amazing home. The master bathroom boasts a MirrorTV so owners can enjoy some entertainment while preparing for the day. A floor lift in the kitchen and dining room allows for entertainment, but can be tucked away when distractions are not wanted. A floor lift in the bedroom makes watching TV convenient, but can be put away when not in use. A fingerprint lock was placed at the bar for peace of mind. Spire’s expertise and commitment to detail were key to the intricate design concepts throughout the home. Spire worked closely with design teams to ensure under cabinet lighting was just right.

One of our favorite projects to work on is re-creating an unfinished area into a beautiful space. We were honored to work on an audio video project in Chatham, NJ for a client who was creating a basement game room. A Kirkwood, MO couple needed to remodel their condo bathroom to be easily accessible for the husband in his power chair. The original bathroom had become an obstacle course and they needed a streamlined, efficient space. The new design moves all plumbing fixtures to one wall, which creates a large, open space to maneuver in. A wall-mounted sink works nicely whether standing or sitting. A standard toilet is outfitted with a bidet seat with remote control operation. The barrier-free, walk-in shower has two impressive accessibility features. The shower faucet panel incorporates a hand held shower, a rainfall head and 8 adjustable nozzles in one convenient, temperature-controlled package. In the opposite corner is a full body dryer with manual or timer control. Add two kinds of durable and easy to clean floor tile (the blue shower tile also appears on the sink backsplash!), serene grey onyx shower surround and wall paint, and they have a bathroom that makes a beautiful and productive difference in their lives.
