This first floor remodel was a GAME - CHANGER for this house. We took down more than 3 walls and installed a massive support beam. The first floor of this home went from cramped and disconnected to the perfect space for family gatherings. After the space was opened up, we proceeded with a gorgeous kitchen remodel with a modern geometric theme. The hardwood floors transition uniquely and beautifully into the hexagonal floor tile. The back splash is simple and lovely, also following the geometric theme with the hex tile. The last hexagonal touch to this kitchen is its unique hardware. This remodel had several modern touches, without overwhelming the "homey" feeling of a fireplace and hardwoods. All in all, this remodel created the perfect place for entertaining and raising a family.

We started with a really tiny kitchen where the hutch is now located and proposed removing the bearing wall separating the old dining room from the old kitchen space and then moving the kitchen into the dining room. This vastly improved the layout and was more logical as a great sized kitchen was now situated right beside the sunken kitchen table area. Seating was also added onto the peninsula to bring guests closer to the action. This kitchen renovation was definitely a game changer for their home!

Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless 3/4 white tile and stone tile bathroom remodel in Austin with an undermount sink, white cabinets, marble countertops and white walls

There were to many disjointed spaces in the existing Eichler home, and the owners didn’t like entering right into the kitchen wall. There were not enough functional spaces in the house but it was tricky to see how or where to add to the home without losing the atrium. The Klopf team re-arranged the spaces in the house to put the bedroom functions under the flat, 8-foot ceiling and the whole great room under the higher gable roof, moving the kitchen to the corner and creating a symmetrical and regular-shaped great room. A narrow band of skylights and a reduced, but still open, atrium brighten the family’s days and bring more greenery into their lives. The Klopf team turned the small front bedroom into a laundry room, powder room, and hallway to a large, added work-from-home office/family room that can double as a guest room. From the street the addition looks like it might have been there all along, but for the family members it’s a game-changer. Just wrapped up an incredible kitchen remodel and couldn’t be happier with the results! Under the guidance of our amazing Project Manager, Tony Cicchino, and the talented Designer, Justina Auer, this kitchen looks unrecognizable from the Before pictures. We opted to maintain the existing layout but injected a dash of brilliance with additional cabinetry, elevating both form and function. The decision to remove overhead wall cabinets above the peninsula really started to open up the space, allowing for a more seamless and spacious feel. We also bid adieu to the faux beams to gain a fluid perspective throughout the room. The clever addition of a pantry cabinet and additional storage space on the backside of the peninsula really expanded the storage universe. By lifting the microwave off the counter, we gained valuable extra counter space. The hidden pull-out trash under the counter is a game-changer for convenience. We embraced a clean and timeless palette of simple whites and grays, making the space a perfect canvas for personal touches. This kitchen is now a masterpiece that marries practicality with panache!
