Built in 1896, the original site of the Baldwin Piano warehouse was transformed into several turn-of-the-century residential spaces in the heart of Downtown Denver. The building is the last remaining structure in Downtown Denver with a cast-iron facade. HouseHome was invited to take on a poorly designed loft and transform it into a luxury Airbnb rental. Since this building has such a dense history, it was our mission to bring the focus back onto the unique features, such as the original brick, large windows, and unique architecture.
Our client wanted the space to be transformed into a luxury, unique Airbnb for world travelers and tourists hoping to experience the history and art of the Denver scene. We went with a modern, clean-lined design with warm brick, moody black tones, and pops of green and white, all tied together with metal accents. The high-contrast black ceiling is the wow factor in this design, pushing the envelope to create a completely unique space. Other added elements in this loft are the modern, high-gloss kitchen cabinetry, the concrete tile backsplash, and the unique multi-use space in the Living Room. Truly a dream rental that perfectly encapsulates the trendy, historical personality of the Denver area.

Designed with family in mind. We were invited to be part of this beautiful estate at ground breaking. Being involved at the beginning allowed us to help guide our client build a space that not only looks great, but will last a lifetime. From sub surface installation to cosmetic features, selecting the right materials without sacrificing quality. The curb appeal for our homeowner is great day & crazy good at night! Plenty of parking on this circular entrance for family & friends. A center raised planter focal piece sets the style, Rustic Elegance at the Ranch!
The main entrance flooring set with tumbled travertine scabos & brick accent welcomes guest comfortably. Xericscape keeps the theme front to back! Large boulders dot the terrain. Outdoor lighting accents the home and throughout the landscaping. Come through the home and enter outdoor living at its finest. Across the grassy yard plains entertaining destinations spaces invite the family out to play! A childres playset & sandbox for the kids and a south African custom fire pit for everyone to gather around to tell tells & stories! Back at the covered patio, an outdoor custom kitchen, churrasco grill, bar and fireplace make hanging outdoors fun! Of course the view of the mountains encapsulates this grand space. Memories will be created here!

From this perspective, the staircase reveals its sculptural side. The sharp black steel line of the railing cuts a clean diagonal through the view, guiding the eye upward and emphasizing the home's vertical openness. Below, the light wood treads ground the composition, offering warmth to balance the steel and glass.
The angled view highlights how the staircase interacts with the surrounding architecture—positioned near tall windows that flood the stairwell with natural light. This ensures the stairs are not just a circulation space but an experience in movement and light.
The design's success lies in its simplicity: a restrained palette of materials used with precision. Every junction is crisp, every surface intentional. This minimalism allows the staircase's proportions and geometry to shine without distraction.
As a transitional space, it encapsulates the home's architectural ethos—modern in form, inviting in feel, and executed with the highest level of craftsmanship.

Just Grillin was originally contracted to design and install an outdoor kitchen and bar-height island tabletop. By the end, Just Grillin completed the cabana (which was left unfinished by another contractor), created a stone accent wall along the backdoor wall and added a stone wrap to the cabana columns.
The kitchen features encapsulated polymer cabinets which are outdoor rated and extremely durable in the harsh Florida elements. The legs of the bar-height island tabletop are also made in this material. The client choose an Alfresco 42" AXLE grill and U-line 24" Outdoor Fridge. Hidden in one of the cabinets is a drawer that fits a Yeti cooler.
The stone backsplash seen along the kitchen was completed by Just Grillin.
The cabana seen in pictures was left unfinished by another contractor the client hired. The client then contacted us about finishing it and the result is what you see pictured.
The client also had a lot of leftover stone from other projects and asked if we could create something with it. Just Grillin was able to create a stone accent wall along the backdoor of the house to add some flair to a covered lounging area.
Just Grillin also wrapped the bottom half of the cabana columns with the same stone completing a consistent and stylish look throughout the back patio area.

A typical product of the mid 80s, before its transformation, this St. Louis home was largely devoid character and detail.
An early primary objective of the client was to transform the lackluster foyer into an impressive appetizer of things to come inside the now-grand home.
An upmarket Art Deco-inspired light fixture with cascading fluted glass tubes arranged around a brass frame replaces a common low-quality Big Box affair. The fixture emits a serviceable, but subtle warm skin-flattering glow.
To encapsulate the space and make a grand first impression, walls are elevated with distinctive, dimensional wallcoverings with authentic metallic leafing on horsehair panels. A simple, but striking bench with tufted ebony leather and curved brass legs offers plentiful and functional seating.
The oval console with sensual brass legs and a honed marble top, soften the space’s angles.
An iconic, arch-topped, vintage-inspired brass mirror intentionally contrasts with the modern space adding a splash of femininity.
The delicate buffet lamp offers old world charm, while the rug is weather resistant to help contain the detritus of real-family living.

With nearly 14,000 square feet of transparent planar architecture, In Plane Sight, encapsulates — by a horizontal bridge-like architectural form — 180 degree views of Paradise Valley, iconic Camelback Mountain, the city of Phoenix, and its surrounding mountain ranges.
Large format wall cladding, wood ceilings, and an enviable glazing package produce an elegant, modernist hillside composition.
The challenges of this 1.25 acre site were few: a site elevation change exceeding 45 feet and an existing older home which was demolished. The client program was straightforward: modern and view-capturing with equal parts indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Though largely open, the architecture has a remarkable sense of spatial arrival and autonomy. A glass entry door provides a glimpse of a private bridge connecting master suite to outdoor living, highlights the vista beyond, and creates a sense of hovering above a descending landscape. Indoor living spaces enveloped by pocketing glass doors open to outdoor paradise.
The raised peninsula pool, which seemingly levitates above the ground floor plane, becomes a centerpiece for the inspiring outdoor living environment and the connection point between lower level entertainment spaces (home theater and bar) and upper outdoor spaces.
