In this Lake Forest master bathroom remodel, elegance meets functionality in a design that feels as though it has always belonged to the home. The centerpiece is a stunning glass-enclosed walk-in shower, featuring floor-to-ceiling marble tile accented with a custom mosaic inlay. The marble continues onto the vanity countertop, creating a harmonious flow throughout the space. Every detail — from the polished chrome fixtures to the beveled glass mirrors — was chosen to reflect a timeless sophistication while incorporating the conveniences of modern living.
The double vanity offers generous storage with rich espresso cabinetry, bringing warmth and contrast against the cooler marble tones. Above, crystal-accented sconces and a delicate chandelier cast a flattering light, making daily routines feel like a moment of indulgence. The blend of soft, neutral walls with crisp white trim frames the space beautifully, allowing the finishes to take center stage without overwhelming the senses.
This remodel was designed not only for beauty but also for enduring quality. Materials were selected for their resilience as well as their aesthetics, ensuring that the bathroom will remain a serene and luxurious retreat for years to come. Every element — from the tile pattern to the placement of each fixture — was thoughtfully considered to enhance flow, maximize natural light, and create a sense of spa-like tranquility. This is more than just a bathroom; it's a personal sanctuary where style and comfort live side by side.

The clean, calm, restful interiors of this heart-of-the-city home are an antidote to urban living, and busy professional lives. As well, they’re an ode to enduring style that will accommodate the changing needs of the young family who lives here.

Capped by a picturesque double chimney and distinguished by its distinctive roof lines and patterned brick, stone and siding, Rookwood draws inspiration from Tudor and Shingle styles, two of the world’s most enduring architectural forms. Popular from about 1890 through 1940, Tudor is characterized by steeply pitched roofs, massive chimneys, tall narrow casement windows and decorative half-timbering. Shingle’s hallmarks include shingled walls, an asymmetrical façade, intersecting cross gables and extensive porches. A masterpiece of wood and stone, there is nothing ordinary about Rookwood, which combines the best of both worlds.
Once inside the foyer, the 3,500-square foot main level opens with a 27-foot central living room with natural fireplace. Nearby is a large kitchen featuring an extended island, hearth room and butler’s pantry with an adjacent formal dining space near the front of the house. Also featured is a sun room and spacious study, both perfect for relaxing, as well as two nearby garages that add up to almost 1,500 square foot of space. A large master suite with bath and walk-in closet which dominates the 2,700-square foot second level which also includes three additional family bedrooms, a convenient laundry and a flexible 580-square-foot bonus space. Downstairs, the lower level boasts approximately 1,000 more square feet of finished space, including a recreation room, guest suite and additional storage.

The definitive idea behind this project was to create a modest country house that was traditional in outward appearance yet minimalist from within. The harmonious scale, thick wall massing and the attention to architectural detail are reminiscent of the enduring quality and beauty of European homes built long ago.
It features a custom-built Spanish Colonial- inspired house that is characterized by an L-plan, low-pitched mission clay tile roofs, exposed wood rafter tails, broad expanses of thick white-washed stucco walls with recessed-in French patio doors and casement windows; and surrounded by native California oaks, boxwood hedges, French lavender, Mexican bush sage, and rosemary that are often found in Mediterranean landscapes.
An emphasis was placed on visually experiencing the weight of the exposed ceiling timbers and the thick wall massing between the light, airy spaces. A simple and elegant material palette, which consists of white plastered walls, timber beams, wide plank white oak floors, and pale travertine used for wash basins and bath tile flooring, was chosen to articulate the fine balance between clean, simple lines and Old World touches.
The walnut door was distressed and had gone through a multi-step staining and finishing process.

A timeless kitchen combines classic design elements with enduring functionality, creating a space that remains stylish and relevant for years to come. It's not just a kitchen—it's the heart of the home.

This Parisian paradise was designed for a very special young girl. Her Mother contacted Greene Designs looking for someone to create the room her daughter had been dreaming about for years. Due to an accident when she was an infant she has had to endure hundreds of surgeries over her life. When I heard her story I knew she was deserving of something wonderful. Her Mother and I set out to create a room that has a touch of Parisian sophistication (a place they hope to visit soon), and the fun and whimsy of a pre-teen’s room. This bedroom includes a daybed with a trundle perfect for sleepovers, a charming nightstand with a bit of “bling”, a vanity where she can do her makeup, a dresser with a mirror, and a chandelier. The paint and accessories pulled the room together completing the Parisian design. I was so happy to be chosen to design a room for such a fun, sweet, and courageous young lady.

This kitchen was redesigned to better serve the needs of the family. As frequent entertainers, they sought a space that was as elegant as it was enduring.
The existing space was dated and did not allow the homeowner to prepare gourmet meals with optimal efficiency. The solution was to redesign the space, featuring durable and long lasting materials. The new appliances feature innovative technology to optimize their unique cooking needs.
Flawless custom white painted cabinetry illuminates the space while the maintenance free quartz countertops add ultimate durability.

Stone: Orchard - Cypress Ridge
Inspired by Italian and Provencal architecture, Cypress Ridge is designed to reflect the poetic harmony and enduring characteristics of age-old hilltop villages. A combination of irregularly shaped stones with colors ranging from sundrenched golds, earthy browns and faint olive green hues offset rust-colored accents to give each stone its own story to tell.

A block from the beach in the quaint seaside village of Neskowin, our clients wanted a home that was comfortable when they were alone or with family and friends. They also wanted to integrate salvaged Douglas-fir lumber from a deconstructed 1938 warehouse. Influenced by the reclaimed wood and our mutual appreciation of old wood buildings, barns, and historic lodges, the project used the recycled lumber throughout for columns and beams, roof framing, flooring, cabinetry, wall paneling, interior trim, doors and furniture.
At the same time, we designed the home to endure the harsh environment of the Oregon coast. As a LEED™ Gold home, the building envelope is both durable and well insulated. The mechanical systems, which include radiant-heat flooring and an ultra-efficient Heat Recovery Ventilator, make this home comfortable and healthy regardless of the weather. With its lodge-like simplicity and unique design details, this home is a joyful blend of old and new.
The design of the home and the energy efficient features caught the attention of several publications, including Fine Homebuilding, who featured it in their August/September 2011 issue.
