This custom waterfront home is designed to take full advantage of our client’s gorgeous Centennial Lake property. They will have 180-degree waterfront views from the main level and walk-out basement. On the main level, the vaulted cathedral ceiling over the kitchen and great room is accented with custom wood trusses, and the dining room boasts a coffered 10′ ceiling. A stone fireplace anchors the great room. Designed for a very active family, a large mudroom with a half bath and plentiful storage was a must. The main-level primary bedroom suite is accented with a 10′ coffered ceiling over the sleeping area, and a spacious 5-piece ensuite with a glass shower, soaker tub, and double sinks. A walk-in closet and an outdoor covered deck complete the suite. A second bedroom on the main level is co-located with the main bath and will accommodate family members in their own private space. Plus, there’s an office with a lovely view of the lake for a quiet place to engage in hobbies or work. An expansive sunroom off the dining area and kitchen will accommodate their large extended family. The vaulted cathedral ceiling in the sunroom will be finished with the same custom wood trusses as the great room. Providing a transition from inside to outside, the covered deck surrounds the sunroom on three full sides. To ensure the comfort of their extended family, three additional bedroom suites are located on the lower level, along with two full bathrooms. A rec room with a bar, and the games room, both with coffered ceilings, will be filled with fun during family gatherings. Plentiful storage space and an area to change after outdoor activities will be well used by this sporty family. A patio, with covered and open areas, offers additional outdoor space to enjoy the views. The exterior modern Craftsman style is accented with stone, timber elements, and maintenance-free siding.

Eichler in Marinwood - At the larger scale of the property existed a desire to soften and deepen the engagement between the house and the street frontage. As such, the landscaping palette consists of textures chosen for subtlety and granularity. Spaces are layered by way of planting, diaphanous fencing and lighting. The interior engages the front of the house by the insertion of a floor to ceiling glazing at the dining room. Jog-in path from street to house maintains a sense of privacy and sequential unveiling of interior/private spaces. Location: Denver, CO, USA Dado designed this 4,000 SF condo from top to bottom. A full-scale buildout was required, with custom fittings throughout. The brief called for design solutions that catered to both the client’s desire for comfort and easy functionality, along with a modern aesthetic that could support their bold and colorful art collection. The name of the game - calm modernism. Neutral colors and natural materials were used throughout. "After a couple of failed attempts with other design firms we were fortunate to find Megan Moore. The massing design masks the large addition in the back allowing the original historic cottage to engage the Hyde Park historic neighborhood as it always has while providing the owner with the space needed in this sustainable Urban Bungalow design.

Simplethings Photography Staging By Madison's Home Staging & Design This project is a good example of the range of tasks we are asked to undertake. We designed and specified cabinetry, layout and finishes for the kitchen, mud room, and home office. We also designed a custom fireplace wall utilizing semi-custom cabinetry line. Beautiful Cambria slab is was definitely everybody's favorite part of the project. To balance the high cost of this incredible material, we recommended a more cost-effective porcelain tile for the backsplash. Accessories, lighting and seating, selected by the client who has excellent taste and sense of design, finished out the project.

Looking at this home today, you would never know that the project began as a poorly maintained duplex. Luckily, the homeowners saw past the worn façade and engaged our team to uncover and update the Victorian gem that lay underneath. Taking special care to preserve the historical integrity of the 100-year-old floor plan, we returned the home back to its original glory as a grand, single family home. The project included many renovations, both small and large, including the addition of a a wraparound porch to bring the façade closer to the street, a gable with custom scrollwork to accent the new front door, and a more substantial balustrade. Windows were added to bring in more light and some interior walls were removed to open up the public spaces to accommodate the family’s lifestyle. We recently enjoyed the opportunity to remodel three floors of a nineteenth-century Cambridge home with our project partners, architect Tom Downer and designer Jayme Kennerknecht/LDa Architects. . • The owners – a family of four that includes both a teenager and a toddler - wanted a house better suited to entertaining but also appropriate for family together time. Specific improvements on their wish list included a playroom that could handle differing family needs, a custom bar for entertaining, a new fireplace, and an inviting kitchen that would remain distinct but be better connected to adjoining rooms. • Adding a fireplace to the living room involved rebuilding the entire back wall of the home. The fireplace mantel was custom designed to match an existing mantel in the nearby dining room, which is original to the home. • In the playroom, care was taken to create zones for three members of the family: The mother enjoys crafting and now has a station directly below existing skylights, the teenager has a semi-private nook at the back of the space for relaxing, and the youngest in the family can enjoy toys and games placed along one wall alongside a rug for playing on the floor. On the same level, we created a separate guest bedroom with a new closet and a window designed to match other windows throughout the home. • The kitchen is fully upgraded and custom designed to accommodate the mother’s cooking habits, with specific elements including a farmer’s sink in the island and a stainless steel counter with an integrated sink for food preparation placed behind it on the counter. To improve storage in the much-used room, corner drawer units were installed instead of lazy Susan cabinets. Also, the homeowners were not interested in an open floor plan, but did want to improve access to the living room and yard beyond. This was achieved by expanding the opening between the two rooms allowing the cook to engage with family and guests and have a clear view when children are playing in the yard.
