This penthouse apartment has glorious 270-degree views, and when we engaged to complete the extensive renovation, we knew that this apartment would be a visual masterpiece once finished. So we took inspiration from the colours featuring in many of their art pieces, which we bought into the kitchen colour, soft furnishings and wallpaper. We kept the bathrooms a more muted palette using a pale green on the cabinetry. The MC Lozza dining table, custom-designed wall units and make-up area added uniqueness to this space.

When our Boulder studio was tasked with furnishing this home, we went all out to create a gorgeous space for our clients. We decorated the bedroom with an in-stock bed, nightstand, and beautiful bedding. An original painting by an LA artist elevates the vibe and pulls the color palette together. The fireside sitting area of this home features a lovely lounge chair, and the limestone and blackened steel fireplace create a sophisticated vibe. A thick shag rug pulls the entire space together.⁠ In the dining area, we used a light oak table and custom-designed complements. This light-filled corner engages easily with the greenery outside through large lift-and-slide doors. A stylish powder room with beautiful blue tiles adds a pop of freshness.

To add a twist of creativity, we installed the tiles in a unique pattern, inviting you to "walk along the plank" towards the mesmerizing vistas. ​ The dining room serves as a tribute to the couple's engagement in Santorini, adorned with canvas prints of photos taken during these cherished memories. LUMI Shopping Mall Installation. Featuring two fixed and two swing doors with lock. Here’s the breakdown: - One swing door can be locked in place, allowing the other to close and lock against it. - The setup includes a functional handle with a lockset on one door, while the other has a matching dummy handle for symmetry. To make one of the swing doors "fixed," we installed top and bottom slide locks. These locks, cleverly integrated into the door frame, secure the door in place with pins that fit into drilled holes—one in the floor and one in the door jamb. When engaged, this door becomes stationary. A key design decision is selecting which swing door will be the “fixed” one during the planning stage, as this choice is permanent. The other door will then serve as the locking swing door. Additionally, the customer requested a stylish black panel insert at the bottom of the doors for a sleek, modern touch.

THE SETUP Once these empty nest homeowners decided to stay put, they knew a new kitchen was in order. Passionate about cooking, entertaining, and hosting holiday gatherings, they found their existing kitchen inadequate. The space, with its traditional style and outdated layout, was far from ideal. They longed for an elegant, timeless kitchen that was not only show-stopping but also functional, seamlessly catering to both their daily routines and special occasions with friends and family. Betsy & Matt have a beautiful pool and patio, but an exposed location on a links golf course left nowhere to escape the afternoon sun and incessant wind. SCD was engaged to design and build an oasis of shade for lounging and entertaining as the focal point of this spectacular outdoor living space. Design Criteria: - Provide shelter from the sun and wind. - Create a light and open area – avoid creating an enveloping “building”. More like a large umbrella than a small building. - Design to harmonize with the client’s modern tastes, as expressed in the home’s interior. - Create space for soft seating, bar seating and cooking, all within the “shade footprint” during the afternoon.
