It’s about a shoemaker sometimes having no shoes. One day our own interior designer, Nathan Drewes, took a hard look at the guest suite in the dependency of his hundred-sixty-year-old house. What he saw made him aesthetically tank. While there may have been a few pieces of beloved family furniture, everything else looked dowdy, dusty, even drab. Tout suite he went right to the cobbler’s bench to reimagine the rooms. Clearly a few random patches weren’t going to be enough. The space needed total transformation. He realized a slick minimalist look would never work in those old rooms or make sense with the rest of the house. To be honest, it really didn’t reflect his taste anyway. Nathan happened to have a budding neo-classical collection, begun while still in college. For some time he had been itching to reassemble it in an appropriate setting. Despite being a millennial, his instincts led him to evoke a reverie of a luxury-loving 19th century New Orleans gentleman. Inspired by strong palettes of the past and textured interiors, he salvaged curtains and carpets from a former apartment in Lyon, found a local artisan to frame a batch of early 19th century engravings, selected rich feeling fabrics, and splurged on interesting lighting. The results are anything but drab. With rooms that conjure a shaded feeling against the intrusive tropic sun, the effect is dense with polished woods, lush with fabrics. Fantastic patio with a unique fireplace. It is stone and ceiling high with a cross engraved into it. the ceiling has hewn timbers and there is wooden pillars around the patio as well. It has a great view and is surrounded by nature.

It is the main bathroom of the Sena family. During the confinement we made some adjustments to the design and, today, it is already a total beautiful remodel and neat work.⁣ ⁣ The family asked us for a delicate bathroom with a functional and elegant layout.⁣ ⁣ For this reform, we used a white piece of furniture with a quartz countertop and a porcelain sink with fine engraved details. We chose the matt black faucet, as well all the accessories and profiles, to give a touch of character and delicacy to the space.⁣ ⁣ In the shower we install a fully transparent glass slide with minimal profile. The walls finishes in White Carrara Marble and for the shower floor we chose high resistance matt porcelain.⁣ ⁣ Our clients are so happy!

This living room got an upgraded look with the help of new paint, furnishings, fireplace tiling and the installation of a bar area. Our clients like to party and they host very often... so they needed a space off the kitchen where adults can make a cocktail and have a conversation while listening to music. We accomplished this with conversation style seating around a coffee table. We designed a custom built-in bar area with wine storage and beverage fridge, and floating shelves for storing stemware and glasses. The fireplace also got an update with beachy glazed tile installed in a herringbone pattern and a rustic pine mantel. The homeowners are also love music and have a large collection of vinyl records. We commissioned a custom record storage cabinet from Hansen Concepts which is a piece of art and a conversation starter of its own. The record storage unit is made of raw edge wood and the drawers are engraved with the lyrics of the client's favorite songs. It's a masterpiece and will be an heirloom for sure.

Taking industrial design one step further, Watermark Designs’ new Elan Vital collection combines the utilitarian aesthetic of Industrial Design with the ability to completely customize faucets. A delightful floral design influenced by our favourite chalky paint colours. The design features a delicate trail of flowers and birds. The wallpaper is printed using the Gravure technique, which allows the engraving inks to be both multifaceted, tonal and layered. Which results in a beautiful soft finish.

This client wanted to utilize natural rock to create a level, raised planter in front of the garage to soften the look for great curb appeal! We also used large natural rock slabs for step stones to carry from the front to the backyard and added a concrete patio for family gatherings. Concrete edge and landscape lighting rounded off this great project!

What an awesome project!! Our client wanted us to design and build a complete custom backyard that had to match up with the existing rock on the house. They wanted warm natural cedar accents throughout as well that carried from the mantle on the massive outdoor fireplace over to the outdoor kitchen and privacy screens & gates. We finished with stainless steel cabinets, Dacor inset grill, 40" firebox, as well as fridge. Our client also wanted us to overlay rock onto the parging at the rear of the house to tie it all in. The project was capped off with natural rock accent boulders and an address rock as well as custom aluminum fencing and large trees for privacy. We added concrete edge and exposed aggregate patio to create an extremely cozy area for socializing and relaxing that has great curb appeal!!
