The Spacious wood deck features wide angled stairs that seamlessly transition to the Belgard paver patio. The deck stair lighting serves as a safety feature and makes the space ready to enjoy in the evening. The pergola creates a separate space on the deck to enjoy activities such as dining and lounging, while enjoying a shaded area. the Belgard patio features our popular Lafitt Rustic Slab pavers, which creates a natural transition to the rest of the backyard. This older couple have been residing in their one level custom home since the early 80’s. The Master bathroom old design was dysfunctional, steps in bathroom were dangerous for their age, the deck mounted tub took too much floor space, vanity space was limited. Swing doors were cutting accessibility for them. The wanted to open up the space and bring this old dragged of bathroom into a new era of design and functionality. Planned a double sided fireplace in front of the tub area, taking out all multi-level shower and tub area, enlarged the shower stall and moved the new free standing tub directly under the wall of glass blocks, We have taken advantage of tall cathedral ceiling and added new ceiling and recess lights to brighten this space. The toilet area was enclosed with a frost glass pocket and made more room for larger vanity and counter space, given them lots of storage, small closets were taken out and replaced with larger linen cabinetry. We have relocated the toilet to open up large portion of back wall, now home for his vanity space. The shower was moved to the corner, taking some space form adjacent closet. Customer framed mirror, sconce lighting has taken over the left side of pantry, will large scale tile (and heated floor) this master bathroom transformation has given them a whole new life. Carefully selected stain on cabinetry complimenting the stone top and porcelain floor and wall tiles were all a big part of this transformation. The custom closet system has given them a much-needed space for their clothing and all their seasonal clothes. Now more than ever life in their master suite is pleasurable and relaxing.

HAWTHORNE HAMPTONS The Hawthorne House is a fusion between the Classic Queenslander and Hampton style home. The Harmony between the 2-style work well together and we had to be sympathetic to the existing pre-1946 character home. The street scape had to be fused together between old and new so the house read as one and would stand the test of time. The clients brief was to make the house more functional for the family with more space and usable areas that connected all spaces to the outdoors. The lower rooms still had to capture natural light and breeze but have a connection to the outdoor courtyard area. The current house lacked views of the Brisbane city so the key for the design was to enhance the city views from the upstairs living areas with large doors and windows that framed the city. The client particular wanted WOW features in the house. Upon arriving at the entrance, a large void/Entrance carries your attention up through the house with the stunning coffered ceilings and wainscoting drawings your eyes to the upper floors. The 1st floor was all about connecting the living areas together while enjoying the amazing Brisbane city views. The heart of the house is the Kitchen that connects the indoors and outdoors together. Outdoors is where the family can enjoy their summer days around the pool area.Hawthorne House is a truly stunning house with Hampton details that make this house a truly enjoyable house to live in.

This Leander, TX, deck is built of AZEK decking in Hazelwood and the trim is built using Morado, both from AZEK’s Arbor Collection. The railing is beautiful black gloss Fortress iron railing which compliments and contrasts the neutral tones of the decking perfectly. The skirting on the perimeter of the deck was completed in Hardie board and painted to match the colors of the existing home. We took the design a step further by adding concrete pads at the base of the stairs to avoid a slippery surface and to reduce the debris that is tracked onto the deck from the backyard.

Our clients came to Marvista Design + Build for a reconfiguration of their entire home. The existing layout of the first floor left the family with insufficient space to cook, while the layout of the second floor created a desire for a larger bathroom and reimagined closet space. We started by designing an open-concept layout for the first floor, which gave our clients ample space to prepare meals using their professional-grade appliances in the kitchen, and a connecting dining room to enjoy those home-cooked meals together. They were drawn to a blue and white palette, which we brought to life with beautiful blue cabinetry and stunning, full height porcelain herringbone backsplash spanning from the countertops to the cabinets. We also renovated their first-floor powder room with fun wallpaper that provided a fresh take on the home’s spirited past. As we moved onto the second floor, we combined the existing bathroom with a number of less-functional closet spaces to create a “spa-like” bathroom that provided space and serenity. The combination of stone flooring and walnut cabinetry created a calming and natural feel, and the perfect environment to enjoy their new large soaking tub. We also created a youthful, yet timeless bathroom, for their children to enjoy with stunning sage cabinetry.
