Meriwether was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we could not have been more happy. She was kind, patient, reasonable and warm with good humor and terrific ideas to ensure our project was up to snuff without being obscenely over budget.

We worked with Meriwether to redesign the 2nd floor of our 1923 1 1/2 story bungalow, to help utilize the space better and expand our bathroom. We wanted to make some changes without affecting the architectural integrity of the house and we wanted to be sure the exterior remained the same. She was fabulous! When we decided the 1st plan was too expensive, she reworked it to come up with a less extensive renovation but one that still would improve the way we used the space. It turned out beautiful! Her architecture work is so professional and detail-oriented and she explains everything so well and answered all our questions. But then her design work is awesome, too. She helped me choose tile, hardware, fixtures for the bathroom, etc. She listened to my concerns and what I wanted but she definitely incorporated her style, which is gorgeous. We loved working with Meriwether.

I always love when I see Meriwether on the calendar to come is. Her designs are fresh and forward, and fun to light.

Meriwether is marvelous! It was such a pleasure working with her. She listened to what we wanted in our remodel project and offered her expert suggestions. She also worked closely with the contractors through the building process. The result was a perfect outcome. We added a second story to our Linden Hills bungalow and it looks like it has always been that way. The style blends perfectly inside and out, and with the style of the neighborhood too. Among the other aspects of the remodel were expanding the kitchen and adding a fireplace with book shelves in the living room, a Craftsman bungalow detail our house had been missing. I cannot recommend Meriwether strongly enough. She is fun to work with and a superb architect.

I hired this lady to provide an inspirational design idea for a small space of about 56 sq ft. It was a small project so we decided a fee. I paid 80% of that fee. She then came up with 1 sketch, it was OK, it did not wow me. I asked for her to wow me and I never heard from her again. Which was strange as she seemed nice. But I guess sometimes smaller spaces can be very challenging.

I came home from vacation last week and my first thought was, "Wow. I love my house." I feel so lucky we found Meriwether. She is a treasure to work with. Over the years and the projects, she has given us many great ideas -- all of them worthy -- but kept working with us until we found the plan that fit. Her work is beautiful: thoughtful, balanced and elegant. But also highly functional. Our new kitchen and floor plan has handled every occasion graciously. From an indoor/outdoor party for 70, to Thanksgiving dinner for 14, to family dinners and living, the flow of the space is fabulous while being neither too big nor too small. We didn't add a foot of foundation -- Meriwether just reorganized our space. It has changed or lives.

As a fellow residential designer, I have had the pleasure of working directly with Meriwether on several projects. She has a wonderful design sensibility, is passionate about doing good work, and treats clients with respect and patience. She truly wants the project to reflect the sensibilities of the homeowner and brings creative solutions to every project.

Meriwether is an innovative architect that understands her client’s needs. She brings different ideas that make each home she designs unique and special. We were able to supply her flooring for her beautiful remodeled house featured on the 2015 Homes by Architects Tour. It was such a pleasure to work with her and we look forward to working with her more in the future.

Over many years I have had the wonderful opportunity to photograph much of Meriwether Felt's work and each and every project was incredibly creative and unique. She solves problems in the most thoughtful of ways creating amazing spaces custom for each client, their life & style. When I am shooting with her I am always surprised by her attention to all of the details making each project "more than the homeowner would ever expect" and offering up fun solutions. When you are with her she is also very present and hearing everything you say.

For our home renovation projects, Meriwether made the process easy to understand, provided complete budgets, followed through with contractors, and produced fabulous results.

We have used Meriwether twice two design projects our 1953 story-and-a-half home. No one else we have considered using came close to her skill set, aesthetic sensibility and vision. (And Minnesota has a wealth of architects to choose from.) Her sense of design, proportion, space, color, and light are impressive. Meriwether's design overcame serious existing liabilities in the structure of our home (awkward window placement, poor roof lines, tacked on 1970's porch addition) and create a final product that has integrity, consistency, and beauty.

I had a 1952 Cape Cod badly in need of a kitchen update, and a main floor laundry. I also thought the home needed a nice covered main entry. A breezeway porch was enclosed for the laundry room. A four foot addition was made to accomodate a larger kitchen, as a result foundation and structural considerations were important. Meriwether listened closely to my objectives in terms of function, weighed carefully my aesthetic taste, and added property value. Her concepts paid close attention to the light, space and flow, and some very interesting and unique options. She remained very open to my ideas on some specific finishes while stretching me in other finishes. In the end it was a very beautiful and functional space, that provided a lovely greeting to all who came to visit. Meriwether was very easy to work with. She provided solid recomendations as to contractors, each with their own strong points. She would call the contractor/subcontractor on any work that was not up to par, as well as working with them where any solutions were required. She also brought plenty of cost saving options to the table. I would most certainly recommend her input for your home.
