AFTER PHOTO:
New large format wall tile is finished (capped) with chrome Qua-dec trims from Schluter to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures, hardware & finishes.
SOME DETAILS:
The wall tile is a polished Italian Porcelain 36"x18" to match the floor tile, installed in a stacked pattern. The floor tile is the perfect match to the walls, except it has a non slip matt finish. All of which is grouted with an Epoxy grout for that minimal maintenance/high durability finish, not to mention many other benefits for using an epoxy grout. All corners & plane changes are fully embraced with 100% silicone, to allow for that tiny movement when contraction & expansion happens, without ever cracking.
WHAT YOU DON'T SEE (briefly):
The surface directly in behind the floor & wall tile, and the construction of the walls & subfloor themselves have gone through great prep work to ensure the build is 100% correct and avoid any possible future problems.

Woodinville WA Phased Farmhouse Transformation Project
Project Overview
In Woodinville, WA, our team at M3Decks & Outdoor Living executed a multi-phase, three-year transformation of a 1970s woody walk-up home, converting it into a stunning farmhouse-style retreat. This project, tailored to the client’s vision, showcases our expertise in custom deck construction, structural enhancements, and outdoor living solutions, with a focus on quality and timeless design.
Project Phases
Phase 1: Deck and Entry Deck (Year 1)
Scope: Designed and constructed a composite deck using premium TimberTech materials, paired with a welcoming entry deck to enhance curb appeal. The decks were built with Fortress Steel Framing for durability, aligning with the farmhouse aesthetic through clean lines and rustic charm.
Features: Incorporated a multi-level layout to maximize usable space, with decorative railings and a drink rail cap for functionality and style.
Outcome: The new decks provided a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, transforming the home’s exterior into a functional and inviting space.
Phase 2: Roof Extension and DrySpace Installation (Year 2)
Scope: Extended the roof over the second-story deck and entryway to create a covered outdoor living area. Installed TimberTech DrySpace under the deck to create a dry, usable space below, ideal for a future hot tub.
Design Elements: The roof extension featured farmhouse-inspired gabled roofing with exposed beams, complementing the home’s updated aesthetic. The DrySpace system ensured weather protection for the under-deck area.
Outcome: The covered deck became a year-round outdoor oasis, while the DrySpace addition increased the home’s functional space, adding value and versatility.
Phase 3: Hardscaping (Planned for Year 3)
Scope: Scheduled to return for the final phase, which will focus on hardscaping to complete the outdoor transformation. Plans include a stamped concrete patio, planter boxes with Pacific Northwest-native plants, and a fire pit to enhance the farmhouse vibe.
Goals: Create a cohesive outdoor environment that integrates with the existing deck and roof structures, prioritizing biophilic design principles for a natural, inviting space.
Anticipated Outcome: The hardscaping will finalize the property’s evolution into a luxurious, functional outdoor retreat, perfect for entertaining and relaxation.
Key Features
Farmhouse Aesthetic: Rustic yet modern design with TimberTech composite decking, exposed beam roofing, and farmhouse-inspired detailing.
TimberTech DrySpace: Innovative under-deck system to ensure a dry, usable space for future additions like a hot tub.
Durable Materials: Fortress Steel Framing and TimberTech products for low-maintenance, long-lasting results.
Phased Approach: Flexible, client-focused construction timeline to accommodate budget and evolving needs.
Outcome
This phased project transformed a dated 1970s walk-up into a modern farmhouse masterpiece, significantly enhancing the home’s aesthetic and functional value. The deck and roof extensions have already elevated the client’s outdoor living experience, and the upcoming hardscaping phase will complete the vision of a cohesive, luxurious backyard retreat. This custom Cherry executive desk was designed for a client in Brighton, Michigan, who had been searching for the right desk for their home office but simply couldn’t find what they needed anywhere else. Crafted from solid USA-sourced Cherry hardwood, the desk was custom dyed and stained to complement the existing finishes in the room, creating a warm, cohesive addition to the space.
Functionality was built directly into the design. Grommets integrated into the desktop route cords to a hidden cable management shelf inside the desk, allowing everything to connect discreetly to an electrical outlet located in the floor below. The result is a clean, uncluttered workspace without sacrificing everyday convenience.
The substantial waterfall-style sides and clean lines give the desk a refined executive presence while allowing the natural character of the Cherry to remain the focus.
This project is exactly why we build custom furniture: when the right piece doesn’t exist, we create it around your space, your needs, and the way you want to use it.

The Staircase & Serpentine wall in the distance required skillfull surveying (sighting / leveling) the elevations. Pictured, workers are finishing the wall by adding a Double- Rowlock Brick cap. These old re-purposed bricks are from the demolition of buildings and are heavily sought after.
Prior to installing the putting green (the tarped area that's protected from any construction traffic) and before the final grade was set. The massive underground drainage system had drain boxes at key locations to capture rainwater runoff, necessary to ensure there's no 'ponding' on the grassy lawn 'Fairway' or the elevated putting green.

Project Description
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Precision Home Installation
This project features the professional installation of the next-generation Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 system. Known for their upgraded brightness and enhanced color rendering, these lights require a precise, calculated layout—especially since the manufacturer guidelines restrict cutting into the main line, presenting a unique installation challenge.
Key Features of This Installation:
Next-Gen Exterior Illumination: Outfitted with the newly released Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2, delivering brilliant architectural down-lighting, incredible holiday presets, and daily accent lighting.
Creative Technical Problem Solving: Because these specialized strands could not be cut without voiding the integrity of the system, we meticulously engineered the run layout. To achieve a perfectly flush finish at the roofline edge, we successfully executed a custom shortening and capping technique on the final strands.
Flawless Eave Integration: The lights were mounted at the optimal distance from the fascia to ensure a perfectly uniform, triangular cone wash down the home's exterior walls, eliminating hot spots and dark gaps.
Smart Ecosystem Control: Fully integrated into the homeowner's smart ecosystem, allowing for voice control, scheduled automation, and endless customization through the native app interface.
Our Specialized Lighting Expertise
Smart lighting systems require more than just hanging a strand—they require precision planning. We specialize in handling high-end retail and commercial systems, providing:
Advanced Layout Mapping: Ensuring your runs look symmetrical and perfectly tailored to your roofline before a single clip is mounted.
Out-of-the-Box Troubleshooting: Finding safe, manufacturer-approved technical workarounds for complex roof lines where standard plug-and-play methods fall short.
Clean Wire Management: Tucking and hiding all jump wires and power supplies for a seamless daytime appearance.

The CAP 20 Counter Vessel offers a seamless, minimalist look with a matching matte white drain cover, while the optional grid drain allows flexibility in design. Its solid surface construction ensures longevity and easy maintenance, making it an excellent choice for modern bathrooms.

At Colorworks Landscaping, we specialize in creating outdoor spaces that combine beauty, functionality, and sustainability. This project in Sun City is a perfect example of how we transform backyards into personalized retreats.
