Pineapple House Interior DesignWe helped conceptualize then build a waterfront home on a fabulous lot, with the goal to maximize the indoor/outdoor connection. Enormous code-compliant glass walls grant uninterrupted vistas, plus we supplement light and views with hurricane-strength transoms above the glass walls. Both functional and decorative pools are constructed on home’s three sides. The pool’s edges run under the home’s perimeter, and from most angles, the residence appears to be floating.
From the front yard, can see into the living room, through the house, to the water/inlet behind it!
Krista + HomeThe design of this Parkland, Florida home won a 2018 American Society of Interior Designers Crystal Award and a 2017 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design Excellence Award. We won in the Traditional Design category. The ASID Design Excellence Awards recognize outstanding design, creativity, commitment and service throughout the United States.
This home and this family was one of my favorites to work and create with. We are designing the second floor in their home as we speak (they needed to take a break to have a baby!) But this six bedroom home in Heron Bay Estates is a beautiful masterpiece. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It was just published in Florida Design magazine and was photographed by Jessica Glynn.

Cummings Architecture + InteriorsSize doesn’t matter when it comes to quality of design. For this petite Cape-style home along the Eagle River in Ipswich, Massachusetts, we focused on creating a warm, inviting space designed for family living. Radiating from the kitchen – the “heart” of the home – we created connections to all the other spaces in the home: eating areas, living areas, the mudroom and entries, even the upstairs. Details like the highly functional yet utterly charming under-the-stairs drawers and cupboards make this house extra special while the open floor plan gives it a big house feel without sacrificing coziness.

Premier ServiceThe patio is divided into separate spaces meant to play off the interior layout of the home. On the left side of this photo we see a large gathering area that corresponds to the residence’s living room. To the right, a fireplace is nestled outside of the study.
Excel RemodelingAn entry area to the home, this family laundry room became a catch-all for coats, bags and shoes. It also served as the laundry hub with a collection of portable drying racks, storage shelves and furniture that did not optimize the available space and layout. The new design made the most of the unique space and delivered an organized and attractive mud and laundry room with bench seating, hooks for hanging jackets and laundry needs, integrated wall drying racks, and lots of convenient storage.
Pineapple House Interior DesignWe helped build this retreat in an exclusive Florida country club that is focused on golfing and socializing. At the home’s core is the living room. Its entire wall of glass panels stack back, which creates a full integration of the home with the outdoors. The home’s veranda makes the indoor/outdoor transition seamless. It features a bar and illuminated amethyst display, and shares the same shell stone floor that is used throughout the interiors. We placed retractable screens in its exterior headers, which keeps fresh air, not insects, circulating when needed.

Pineapple House Interior DesignFor this condo renovation, Pineapple House handled the decor and all the interior architecture. This included designing every wall and ceiling -- beams, coffers, drapery pockets -- and determining all floor and tile patterns. Pineapple House included energy efficient lighting, as well as integrated linear heating and air vents. This view shows the new single room that resulted after designers removed the sliding glass doors and wall to the home's shallow porch. This significantly improves the feel of the room.

Incorporation of the original skylight, the vaulted ceiling, and full light glass patio doors add a sense of spaciousness and connection to the outdoors that had been lacking in the original space.
