This custom kitchen remodel in Jarrettsville was thoughtfully designed to combine timeless style with highly functional storage solutions that make everyday living easier. The kitchen features custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, decorative tilework, and warm hickory flooring that flows seamlessly throughout the space, adding natural warmth and character. A contrasting blue island creates a beautiful focal point while adding additional workspace, storage, and seating to the heart of the kitchen.

Adjacent to the range, a pull-out utensil holder keeps cooking tools organized and within easy reach. A hidden roll-out cabinet neatly stores a folding step stool for convenient access to upper cabinets. The kitchen also includes a lift-up appliance drawer designed to raise heavy countertop appliances, such as a KitchenAid mixer, to working height with ease, helping reduce lifting and countertop clutter. Around the corner, floating shelves framed by full-height decorative tile create an elegant display area that adds both storage and visual interest to the space. Thoughtful details like crown molding, layered finishes, and custom storage features make this kitchen both beautiful and exceptionally practical for daily life.

A full storage island wouldn't work in this Hinsdale, Illinois master closet, so the creative professionals at Chicagoland Home Products found the answer ina storage peninsula that was just the right size for this custom project.
For those who long for custom storage, gaze on these photos and behold ample space to stow socks, keep under garments and organize jewelry. Shelves and drawers galore help provide a home for everything.
When our client dreamed about special features in the custom closet, a place for staging items and folding clothing came to mind. We made that dream come true by incorporating a large countertop onto the peninsula.
This was all tied together in a white melamine finish, but you could use any color that works best for you. It was just about complete except for one troublesome area just below the window. The small area of unused space was transformed with the addition of the handy bench which can be used for a variety of things — including sitting and looking out the window.

This rear three-quarter view highlights the exceptional craftsmanship of this custom French Rococo sofa, including its fully finished upholstered back, sculpted carved frame, ornamental floral detailing, scrolling arms, decorative trim, and elegant curved legs.
Handcrafted from solid teak wood and built for generations of lasting use, the sofa combines durable construction with the graceful proportions associated with French Rococo and Louis XV furniture. The fully finished back allows it to be positioned prominently within a room rather than only against a wall.
An ideal statement piece for luxury living rooms, classic interiors, French Provincial homes, traditional sitting rooms, boutique interiors, and custom residential design.
Custom upholstery, dimensions, finishes, and matching furniture can be created to coordinate with your interior.

This remodel incorporated the client’s love of artwork and color into a cohesive design with elegant, custom details that will stand the test of time. The space was closed in, dark and dated. The walls at the island were the first thing you saw when entering the condo. So we removed the walls which really opened it up to a welcoming space. Storage was an issue too so we borrowed space from the main floor bedroom closet and created a ‘butler’s pantry’.
The client’s flair for the contemporary, original art, and love of bright colors is apparent in the materials, finishes and paint colors. Jewelry-like artisan pulls are repeated throughout the kitchen to pull it together. The Butler’s pantry provided extra storage for kitchen items and adds a little glam. The drawers are wrapped in leather with a Shagreen pattern (Asian sting ray). A creative mix of custom cabinetry materials includes gray washed white oak to complimented the new flooring and ground the mix of materials on the island, along with white gloss uppers and matte bright blue tall cabinets.
With the exception of the artisan pulls used on the integrated dishwasher drawers and blue cabinets, push and touch latches were used to keep it as clean looking as possible.
Kitchen details include a chef style sink, quartz counters, motorized assist for heavy drawers and various cabinetry organizers.

This custom Cherry executive desk was designed for a client in Brighton, Michigan, who had been searching for the right desk for their home office but simply couldn’t find what they needed anywhere else. Crafted from solid USA-sourced Cherry hardwood, the desk was custom dyed and stained to complement the existing finishes in the room, creating a warm, cohesive addition to the space.
Functionality was built directly into the design. Grommets integrated into the desktop route cords to a hidden cable management shelf inside the desk, allowing everything to connect discreetly to an electrical outlet located in the floor below. The result is a clean, uncluttered workspace without sacrificing everyday convenience.
The substantial waterfall-style sides and clean lines give the desk a refined executive presence while allowing the natural character of the Cherry to remain the focus.
This project is exactly why we build custom furniture: when the right piece doesn’t exist, we create it around your space, your needs, and the way you want to use it.
Unlike mass-produced desks made from particle board, laminate, or veneer, our desks are handcrafted from genuine solid hardwood. Every slab is individually selected for its grain, character, and natural beauty, ensuring no two desks are ever alike while providing exceptional strength, durability, and the ability to be enjoyed for generations.

This vibrant office is a dream come true for creative designers. It’s also where Libby’s deep passion for rug design blossomed, thanks to her early role with Creative Matters as a junior salesperson and later, their Retail Coordinator. Years later, Libby is still fortunate to work alongside this remarkable team again and again.
This dynamic team provided the breathtaking rugs for our Lake Simcoe project, skillfully crafting custom pieces that blended perfectly with the exquisite home.
For this project Libby and her team partnered with them to revitalize their impressive office space in a turn of the century bank building at heart of Toronto’s west end.
Creative Matters transformed their second-floor offices into a small showroom about seven years ago. However, after the pandemic, they recognized that their team’s working style had evolved, prompting a reimagining of their workspace. They relocated the showroom downstairs, removing the rows of cubicles to create a bright and open environment.
This space is distinct, catering to the unique requirements of both the showroom and the team’s creative process. Our team focused on providing storage solutions, clean lines, and ample space, while maintaining the light and airy feel of the previous renovation but seamlessly integrating it into the main floor.
Now, Creative Matters to warmly welcome clients and showcase their exceptional work. Many custom pieces are integrated in this office such as a custom collaborative work table on the second floor that has a hidden access panel for tech components. A custom bench in their lunchroom is a welcome and comfortable addition which creates a nice nest to connect and unwind. An overall workflow adjustment was made to this dynamic teams way of working in this dynamic office, and we love to visit and see them seamlessly working in this newly integrated space.
*Special thanks is given to The Working Vine for their analysis of workflow. This was integral to our space planning and design.
