The MOSS design team sat down with the homeowners and went through every single option. With COVID and the distance from the job site to the MOSS office, most sessions were virtual and set to align with the clients’ work schedules. The homeowners felt all of their ideas were brought to life and the design team added interesting pieces and ideas they really liked.
Early in the design process, they decided a focus wall would be amazing. The client loves shiplap but didn’t want anything that looked too country. Our designer and project manager worked together to create a fireplace wall that combined tile, shiplap and a custom mantel for a result that has become one of the most gorgeous parts of the remodel.
With young, active kids, the clients needed a space that could serve as a dump zone for backpacks and sports gear. Combining an underutilized carport shed and a low-functioning pantry resulted in a beautiful, very useful mudroom.
The homeowners expressed that one of the most exciting parts of the process was working with the designers and coming up with new ideas. For example, there was an odd area on one side of the kitchen and our designer suggested making it a double-door pantry. The client’s jaw dropped because she never envisioned having enough storage space to conceal all of her appliances and backstock. She said “It is one of those surprises that came through the design process that we were not expecting and is now one of our favorite parts of the kitchen. We wanted out-of-the-box thinking and that’s what we got.”

Staircase Transformation: Customized Laminate Flooring Installation
This project involved a complete transformation of the staircase in a townhouse, where we replaced old, worn carpet with a fully customized laminate flooring system designed to match the rest of the home’s aesthetic. The homeowners, who have pets, wanted a durable, easy-to-clean surface for their stairs, which led us to install high-quality laminate flooring by Nature Prints.
Finding the perfect color to complement the rest of the home took nearly two months of careful selection and coordination. We worked closely with the client to ensure the laminate seamlessly blended with the other spaces in the townhouse, maintaining a cohesive design throughout.
Once the desired color was selected, we ordered custom square nosings, also manufactured by Nature Prints, to add the finishing touch. These nosings were designed specifically for the staircase, ensuring both durability and a sleek, polished appearance. The laminate was then expertly installed across the stairs, providing a beautiful, low-maintenance solution that perfectly matched the client’s vision.
The final result exceeded expectations. The customized laminate flooring, along with the square nosing, completely transformed the staircase into a modern, elegant feature of the home. Our client was thrilled with the outcome, and the new surface was exactly what they had envisioned—stylish, practical, and perfectly suited to their needs.

I love the soothing color palette of this Master Bath. The arched alcove adds a huge impact to the space, and the two-person soaking tub is more spacious than expected. The color-changing LED light strip is awesome, especially at night, and it's controlled by a remote. Super low voltage makes it safe for this space. Photo by Parker Portraits, Columbus, Indiana

The steps lacked definition and had a problem of soil washing down and covering the steps and the driveway. We installed some heavy cobbles and a french drain to remedy this situation. A waddle was left in place until we determine if the remediation was successful as we are expecting serious rain in San Diego this winter.

We had the pleasure of working with the Vigliotti family to create a beautiful new 4-season room addition.
This project began with the careful demolition of existing structures to make way for a space designed to be enjoyed year-round. From the outset, we focused on maintaining transparency and open communication, ensuring the Vigliottis were involved and informed at every step. Despite the challenges posed by large rocks and ledges in the ground, our team expertly navigated the terrain to ensure a solid foundation, remaining committed to delivering a space that not only met but exceeded their expectations.
Key features of this addition include:
• Energy Efficiency: High-efficiency windows and spray foam insulation were installed throughout to maximize energy savings.
• Mudroom: A practical and welcoming mudroom area was created, perfect for managing the transition from outdoors to indoors.
• Composite Deck: The new composite deck, complete with all required flashing and solid PVC skirts, promises durability and low maintenance for years to come.
• Modern Lighting: We installed all-new electrical systems, featuring recessed LED ceiling lights that provide a sleek and modern touch.
• Exposed Beams & Cathedral Ceiling: The room’s exposed finished beams and cathedral ceiling add a sense of grandeur and spaciousness, making the space feel open and airy.
• Integrated HVAC: The addition was seamlessly connected to the existing central air system, ensuring consistent comfort throughout the home.
• Patio Finish: A beautifully finished patio area was added to complement the inviting backyard, creating a perfect space for the family to enjoy outdoor gatherings.
The Vigliottis were highly engaged throughout the project, and their kind words about our honesty, trustworthiness, and customer-focused approach mean the world to us.
In their review, they mentioned that they’ve worked with several contractors over the years, but Beroli stands out as the best. We are incredibly proud to have earned such high praise and to have delivered a home addition that the Vigliotti family can enjoy for years to come.

This one covered the whole house, or close to it. A kitchen and the bathrooms all done in Fantasy Brown dolomite with a leathered finish, out near Orangeburg. The photos catch it mid-install with Lowe's floor protection still down, so you can see the tops going in before the space gets dressed up. There's an island, a farmhouse apron sink, some open shelving, and undermount bowls in the baths. It's the kind of job we like, where one stone carries through the whole home and ties everything together.
Fantasy Brown is a dolomite, and that matters. People see the soft browns and grays and the flowing veins and assume it's a marble, but dolomite sits a step harder and holds up better in a working kitchen. The movement in it runs long and watery, brown and taupe drifting through a lighter background. No two slabs are the same, so a big part of the job is laying out the material and deciding which piece goes where. On the island we want the veining to feel like it belongs, and across a corner we do our best to keep the flow moving instead of stopping cold at the seam.
The farmhouse apron sink is where the extra work shows. That kind of sink needs the front edge of the stone cut just right, and the reveal has to be even the whole way across. The undermount bowls in the bathrooms get polished on the inside edge so there's nothing rough to catch on. We template tight, cut to the template, and set the seams where they're least likely to bother you. An eased edge keeps it simple and easy to wipe down, which fits a house that's actually lived in.
Dolomite likes to be sealed and it likes to be wiped up after acidic things like lemon or wine, but treated with a little sense it wears beautifully for years. It takes heat better than a lot of people expect, though we still say use a trivet. In a kitchen and baths that get daily use, it's a stone that looks high-end without being fussy to the point of stress.
Orangeburg's a bit of a drive for us, but we go where the work is, and this was a repeat customer we think a lot of. Running the same dolomite through the kitchen and the bathrooms gave the whole place one voice. That's the payoff on a job like this, one material, careful layout, and a finish that reads the same room to room.
