Scottsdale Golf Course Kitchen: Modern Elegance Meets Timeless Function
Description:
This aesthetic equity refresh transformed a dated kitchen into a sophisticated, highly functional space for a Scottsdale couple who love to entertain and enjoy their stunning 9th-hole golf course views.
Working within the home's existing architectural character—including soaring ceilings with natural skylights and original flooring—we created a kitchen that honors the clients' cherished antiques while delivering modern convenience for a passionate home cook.
Key Design Solutions:
Custom beverage station with wine and liquor storage for seamless entertaining
Workstation sink with integrated waste bin for efficient meal prep
Interior cabinet organizers maximizing storage throughout
Height-enhanced cabinetry adding visual impact and storage capacity
Patio door converted to an expansive window with custom-fabricated coffee table, creating an intimate morning nook overlooking the fairway
Expert retrofitting of angled cabinet runs for a cohesive, built-in appearance
Design Challenges:
The project required careful coordination of updated finishes with existing tile flooring and the clients' antique furnishings, ensuring the refresh felt intentional rather than piecemeal. Complex angles demanded custom cabinet solutions to maintain clean lines and maximize function.
The result is a kitchen that gives these homeowners—now in their 70s—decades more enjoyment from their home, blending style, accessibility, and the functional details that make daily life effortless.

Location, location, location! Isn’t that what all of our real-estate friends and colleagues are always telling us? Our clients made a wise choice when purchasing this beautifully located ocean front property nestled in the dunes of Palm Beach, but they were presented with a challenge: how to take this luxury townhouse from dark and dated to a chic easy breezy dream home that reflects is naturally gorgeous sun and sand dunes surroundings as well as our clients laid back personalities.
Built in 1981, this dream home’s post-modern style with dark wood architectural features, cold concrete structure, and harsh lighting felt out of step by todays standards. Our solution: open the staircase and switch out the wood paneled banister for clear glass, exposing its grand design and allowing for amazing and unobscured views of the property’s outdoor spaces as well as the home’s common areas, permitting its large loft space to shine.
Bedrooms were treated to neutral color-schemes inspired by the Palm Beach dunes that surround this oceanfront home. An impressive pallet of textures and materials were chosen, and juxtapositions of lux linens and natural textiles like grass wall coverings and a large arrangement of sculptural branches brings the outside, in. Big and bold custom metal sculptures were installed in the primary bedroom along with hand blown glass light fixtures, adding that touch of glam that we are known for.
The private courtyard revamp is above and beyond anything you will see in Palm Beach. Playful and luxurious, it features a koi pond, a two story art installation and a dramatic custom stone waterfall. Its seating area makes great use of this homes original design by softening the heavy overhang with ceiling coverings in Peaky Cyprus and covering the walls with grass, creating a very cool and cozy space to relax and unwind. The entire courtyard is expertly illuminated by artistic lighting that makes every corner a sparkling treat for the eyes.
We had fun with this ambitious project and we hope your takeaway is to let location be your guide when looking for your dream home, because anything is possible in design but great surroundings are rare treasures that must be found and cherished.

Master Bathroom Remodeling in Maple Glen, PA: A Stunning Transformation by BMR Belmax Remodeling
At BMR Belmax Remodeling, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional remodeling services that combine elegance, functionality, and personalized design. One of our recent projects involved a master bathroom remodeling in Maple Glen, PA, where we transformed a dated bathroom into a luxurious retreat. This comprehensive bathroom renovation in Maple Glen, PA showcases our commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail, leaving our client thrilled with the results.
A Vision for the Perfect Master Bathroom
Our client envisioned a serene and modern master bathroom that would elevate the aesthetics and functionality of their space. They sought a design that offered a balance of contemporary style and practicality, incorporating sleek fixtures, premium materials, and improved lighting. We collaborated closely with the client to bring their vision to life, ensuring that every detail met their expectations. The result was a master bathroom that perfectly aligned with their lifestyle and design preferences.
Key Features of the Master Bathroom Remodel
Our team tackled every aspect of this master bathroom remodeling project with precision and care. Here’s a breakdown of the upgrades and improvements we completed:
1. Plumbing Reconfiguration
To accommodate the updated design, we reconfigured the bathroom’s plumbing to support a sleek, smaller vanity and a stylish freestanding bathtub. This change not only optimized the layout but also created a more open and inviting feel.
2. Upgraded Bathroom Fixtures
The client opted for high-quality bathroom fixtures to enhance the space’s overall look and functionality. We installed a modern bathtub faucet, a new toilet, and other premium fixtures that seamlessly complemented the updated design.
3. Enhanced Lighting and Electrical Work
Lighting was a crucial element of this remodel. We installed new electrical wiring to accommodate lighted mirrors, which added a touch of sophistication and practicality. Additional lighting was installed above the mirrors to ensure optimal brightness for daily grooming routines, and a new exhaust fan was added to improve ventilation and maintain air quality.
4. Large-Format Tile Installation
To achieve a luxurious and contemporary look, we used 24″x48″ large-format tiles for the walls in the bathtub area and on the flooring. These tiles created a clean, seamless aesthetic, with fewer grout lines to maintain and a striking visual impact. The client was particularly impressed with the elegance and durability of this choice.
5. Freestanding Bathtub Installation
A standout feature of this remodel was the addition of a stunning freestanding bathtub. Positioned as a focal point of the bathroom, it offered both aesthetic appeal and a relaxing space for unwinding after a long day.
A Seamless Process and Impressive Results
The project was completed in just eight working days, thanks to our efficient project management and skilled team of professionals. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, we ensured clear communication with the client to address their questions and keep them updated on progress.

This stunning bathroom renovation in Selkirk is one of our favorites recently. Under the expert guidance of Project Manager, EJ Bonacker, and the creative vision of Designer, Sarah McDonald, our team transformed this dated bathroom into a luxurious spa-like retreat! We worked diligently to meet the client’s desire for a modern update while ensuring ample storage and a relaxing showering experience. By reimagining the layout, we optimized the available square footage, allowing for a generous shower footprint. With more space, we were able to plan a double sink with a center tower to stow away all the bathroom necessities. A soothing and soft color palette was carefully selected to create a calm and serene ambiance, promoting relaxation and tranquility. The custom ledge in the shower not only adds a touch of elegance, but serves a practical purpose as home for soaps, shampoos and other bathing necessities kept within easy reach. We are incredibly proud of this renovation and are looking forward to getting started on their other bathroom this fall. Let us help you create the perfect oasis in your home!

After living in their home for over 18 years, the homeowners loved the architectural potential of their home, and needed a refresh to meet their current family needs.
They now had two kids in college and wanted to focus on entertaining.
The key projects in the home included a new dramatic living room, the white kitchen renovation, a new personalized man-cave for the husband, and a large walk-in closet with custom height drawer storage for the wife.
Throughout the rooms in this renovation, we added pops of gold and glamour, yet kept the home cozy and livable.
We utilized cohesive design elements throughout the home including ship-lap texture and detailing throughout the kitchen, new mudroom, wok kitchen, living room, and master bedroom.
Project Highlights: White Kitchen Renovation
In this white kitchen renovation, we removed the old wooden shaker-style kitchen cabinetry and replaced them with all new white and grey cabinets, and white marble counter tops. Expertly hidden behind some of these cabinets is the family’s new walk-in pantry.
The original space had a small, awkward-shaped kitchen island that was so small it was barely functional or convenient for more than one person to sit at. We gave the homeowners a much larger kitchen island, with a beveled edge, that now has more than enough space for eating, socializing, or doing work. With a large overhang counter top on one side, there is now room for several backless bar stools tucked under the island. You’ll also notice glitters of gold inside the two over-sized lighting fixtures suspended over the island.
We created the homeowners a small wok kitchen just off of their new white kitchen renovation. In the main kitchen, we added a ceramic flat cook top and subtle white exhaust hood with an elegant rose-gold trim. Behind it, a white/grey mosaic back splash acts as a wall accent to provide some dimension to the otherwise solid white space. Surrounding the range hood are two large wall cabinets with clear doors to provide extra storage without adding bulk to the newly opened room.
The adjacent dining room was also updated to include a long, contemporary dining table with comfortable seating for eight (ten if you want to get cozy). We replaced the low-hanging run-of-the-mill chandelier with a higher, more modern style made of gold and glass. Behind it all is a new dark grey accent wall with a paneled design to add dimension and depth to the new brighter room.
Brightening the Living Room
In addition to the white kitchen renovations, the living room got a much needed update too.
The original high ceilings were so high they were unusable for decor or artwork, and a fireplace was mostly unused.
We installed a large dark grey paneled accent wall (to match the new accent wall in the new formal dining room nearby), to make better use of the space in a stylish, artful way.
In the middle of the room, a stunning minimalist hanging chandelier adds a pop of gold and elegance to the new space.
If you’re looking to change up the colour scheme in your home, or make a transformation from dated to like the white kitchen renovation we did in this Surrey home, let us take a look. Schedule a complimentary consultation with the My House Design/Build Team today.

This kitchen was for a residential builder’s own home. The family had lived in the home he built himself for 21 years but realized a year ago that the kitchen was dated and they decided to turn to a kitchen expert to update it. After meeting with Fabrice Garson from Bilotta’s Mamaroneck showroom they came up with a design that was as functional as it was beautiful. They went from a cherry paneled kitchen to a painted one – the only thing they kept the same, and unobstructed, is the magnificent view from the dining nook. They selected Bilotta’s custom line, the Bilotta Collection Cabinetry with Super White paint on the perimeter and Baltic Grey on the island with Grigio Verona marble tops from Eastern Stone. The backsplash is made up of three different glass tiles, the Oceanside Collection from Walker Zanger. In order to break up the expansive space, Fabrice designed a drop ceiling that is a mirror image of the island below in the same Baltic Grey paint. The cobalt blue glass light fixtures are from Euro Lighting, and the table and chairs from Tom Faulkner, a custom furniture shop in England. The custom hood is wood in Baltic Grey with brushed stainless inserts. Directly across from it in one direction is the sink, a stainless steel farmhouse; in the other direction is a focal point of the room – the glass front cabinets where the client displays her beautiful hand blown glass pieces. Fabrice also added a desk area where the client can check her emails while having coffee – this area is accented with beautiful silver checkered wall paper.
