A custom end panel that matches the doors (Fieldstone Montgomery) provides an elegant finish for the end of the peninsula. The overhang is supported by "stealth" steel braces on top of the cabinets so there is no need for clunky external supports or corbels.

Acrylic freestanding tub added in this light, bright, and refreshing bathroom remodel. From drab colors to light and bright was the transformation of this bathroom remodel. First and trending, garden tub is removed and replaced with a white acrylic freestanding tub. In addition, to a beautifully wrapped subway tile wall eloquently displayed with a glass mixed mosaic tile. Along with adding a Schluter metal shelf just above the tub to hold those necessities with a matching schluter metal trim along the top of the mosaic. Next, shower modified and enlarged to accommodate a marble bench, threshold, and beautiful shelves to hold those necessities. Included just above the bench is a niche neatly hidden to accommodate additional storage. Coupled with a waterfall tile running down the center of the back wall is stunning. Shower floor and interior of niche completed in a honed lava grey tile. Furthermore, cabinets refreshed and refurbished with a blue grey paint topped with elegant marble countertops. Together with the glass mixed mosaic and subway tile was used throughout the bathroom adding the finishing touches and creating a sense of luxury. Finally, warm wood-look grey tile flowing throughout the floor is inviting. The before and after photos of this bathroom remodel is stunning. When refreshing, light, and bright are in order. This bathroom renovation is perfectly displayed.

The Brief Although the building feels like a traditional Monmouthshire building externally, the clients wanted a modern family home on the interior. Built in 1905, the old coach house was transformed by removing a floor to create a vaulted ceiling and generous kitchen space.

This design colloboration with Castlecomb Projects seemlessly integrates this contempory design into a 70-year-old French Chateau-style home. Every detail of this design was meticulously specified down to the selection of log used for the veneer. Concrete was specified for the 11 x 6 foot island to avoiding the need for seams.

Situated within London’s historic Hampstead Village, Cascade House spans four floors of a Grade II listed building and incorporates a new two­-bedroom dwelling. Kährs’ design was chosen by PATALAB Architecture to complement the interior’s purist black and white pallet – and the stunning project has received the FX International Design Award, and Surface Design Award 2015. All flooring was installed by main contractor, ParryPage Projects Ltd. The external appearance of Cascade House blends into its historic setting, whilst the interior provides a series of bright and contemporary spaces, flooded by natural light. A triple height staircase, with a ‘cascade’ of black-­stained treads, provides a central focus and gives the dwelling its new name. Kährs Oak Nouveau Charcoal was chosen to complement the bespoke timber joinery and panelling, which contrast with white ceilings, walls and furniture. The one-­strip wood floor is crafted in Sweden from rustic, sustainable oak; design features include a high performance engineered construction, a durable charcoal-­grey matt lacquer and a brushed and bevelled surface finish. "We aimed for a simple, monochrome colour palette that contrasts the complex geometries of the existing Grade II listed building. Challenge: Not too many! Homeowners were a joy to work with, and the home was build on a large estate lot along the Concho River. We wanted to ensure all views of interiors were oriented to the backyard, pool and river. We also wanted to capture the feeling of the ruggedness of the land and serenity of the river, elegantly and simply. Solution: Hiring a great architect is always the perfect beginning. The base design took great advantage of the views of the beauty around. External stone was also carried inside, cladding a wall that slices through the center of the house in the living room and beyond through patio. Cutting into this wall is a fireplace in the living room, and a fireplace in the patio. The stone became the launch pad for the color scheme. We decided to keep design elements softly modern, even organic, to connect visual and tactile senses to nature. All textiles are natural fibers. In the wonderfully open kitchen/living/dining space, we left the support beams rough and stained them with a bit of gray glaze. The vent hood is iron; the back splash is a glazed brick; roman shade embroidered. Book shelving in dining is painted a metallic bronze. Island has a leathered quartzite top and cabinetry is stained. Master bed and bath offer quiet drama- colors are soft grays, but arrangement of tile surrounding the fireplace above soaking tub is quite attention getting. The custom 7' master bed is upholstered in gray velvet. Fit for a queen!

Our client purchased a small vacant tennis court plot on Langbar Road in Ilkley with a view to creating a stunning contemporary family home. The secluded yet compact setting flows from the main street facing the aspect back into the narrow site, with carefully arranged building mass and linked corridors allowing for protected tree roots to remain undisturbed. This creates open views and generosity of space and light to both internal and external spaces.

The 3 bed/2.5 bath home is situated on 3 levels, taking full advantage of the otherwise limited lot. Guests are welcomed into the home through a full-lite entry door, providing natural daylighting to the entry and front of the home. The modest living space persists in expanding its borders through large windows and sliding doors throughout the family home. Intelligent planning, thermally-broken aluminum windows, well-sized overhangs, and Selt external window shades work in tandem to keep the home’s interior temps and systems manageable and within the scope of the stringent PHIUS standards.
