In this project, we had an added challenge – we could not lower the ceiling on the exterior wall due to a continual leak issue that the HOA has put off due to the multi-million-dollar expense. DESIGN PHILOSOPHY: Work Centers: prep, baking, clean up, message, beverage and entertaining. Vignette Design: avoid wall to wall cabinets, enhance the work center philosophy Geometry: create a more exciting and natural flow ANGLES: the baking center features a Miele wall oven and Liebherr Freezer, the countertop is 36” deep (allowing for an extra deep appliance garage with stainless tambour). CURVES: the island, desk and ceiling is curved to create a more natural flow. A raised drink counter in Sapele allows for “bellying up to the bar” CIRCLES: the 60” table (seating for 6) is supported by a steel plate and a custom column (used also to support the end of the curved desk – not shown) ISLAND CHALLENGE: To install recessed cans and connect to the existing ducting – we dropped the ceiling 6”. The dropped ceiling curves at the end of the island to the existing ceiling height at the pantry/desk area of the kitchen. Renovation in Atlanta, Georgia: included All new White Shaker Style Upper and Lower Cabinets. Chrome hardware. Floors in a medium brown hue were refurbished. New white with gray viens, Quartz countertops installed to compliment the porcelain backsplash and Shaker styled cabinets with polished chrome extra large hardware. This kitchen remodel was interesting because the owners loved their previous kitchen but wanted to update well-worn laminate and vinyl surfaces. We installed "Whisper" Corian in the kitchen area. The surface is forgiving, doesn't break every glass that falls on it and hides seams. We spent the extra few dollars with the fabricator to set the pattern one-way across the kitchen instead of turning with the "run" of the countertops. You can't see they physical seams and you cannot see the pattern change at the seams. Other items upgraded in the space were: The backsplash in a blue-gray porcelain with glass accent. The kitchen sink to an under-counter model. The dishwasher, cooktop and oven were upgraded, however black appliances topped stainless for this remodel. Interesting fact: the glass in the proper cooking area is not the same color as the glass in back of the bar sink. They look the same, but the bar backsplash is more complimentary to its sink. The difference is undetectable looking across the kitchen. The "office" area was updated to go underneath the countertop with a pull-out shelf. The shelf allows papers, and needed items to be stored below the counter surface. This design is practical and casually elegant for the kitchen command center. The two peninsulas were done in "Cosmos" granite. By adding granite to the top-cap of the bar, these areas blend into the living area. The glass sink is new along with the glass tile but the Grohe faucet is a re-use from the original kitchen. They loved that faucet so why change something that you like that still works beautifully after nearly 25 years? The vinyl floor was upgraded to vinyl tile. This choice is softer and warm underfoot compared to other hard surfaces including porcelain tile.

The back door entrance looks wonderful when adorned with the same valance and roller shade as featured in the rest of the kitchen. This valance is only 7" deep but it finished off the room and would have looked barren if left untreated. The extra dollars spent by the home owner were worth it!

I also have a extra sunlight binder and I have put everything she has done in that binder worksheets poems, printables and I will add her attendance work sheet when we finish then this box will be put up for when kainen is old enough, On the floor is a organizer for craft supplies, then the next shelf from the bottom is mckylees Beads It has beads and string and stuff to make jewelry with. then the diaper box covered in blue fabric is things she has made for school this year that she plays with. like the can phone, tornado in a jar, etc. and her house she made the next shelf with Green and blue baskets which come from the dollar tree the Green has yarn and paper plates and the pink basket has tons of color paper, the big purple tote is play doh, and a play mat and tools for the play doh also a dry eraser covers with play doh printables tucked into them, The pink shower caddy comes in handy during homeschool crafts it holds are glue gun, glue sticks, scissors, and we fill it up with the things we need for the craft and take it to the kitchen table, the top shelf starting from the bottom left is a purple box of craft supples from popsicles sticks to pipe cleaners and glitter, the top purple box is a science box it has magnets and goggles and tongs, magnifying glasses rubber bands, etc, the big box is a build your own fort kit in the middle is paint and paint brushes, then the beloved board games,!

This kitchen remodel was interesting because the owners loved their previous kitchen but wanted to update well-worn laminate and vinyl surfaces. We installed "Whisper" Corian in the kitchen area. The surface is forgiving, doesn't break every glass that falls on it and hides seams. We spent the extra few dollars with the fabricator to set the pattern one-way across the kitchen instead of turning with the "run" of the countertops. You can't see they physical seams and you cannot see the pattern change at the seams. Other items upgraded in the space were: The backsplash in a blue-gray porcelain with glass accent. The kitchen sink to an under-counter model. The dishwasher, cooktop and oven were upgraded, however black appliances topped stainless for this remodel. Interesting fact: the glass in the proper cooking area is not the same color as the glass in back of the bar sink. They look the same, but the bar backsplash is more complimentary to its sink. The difference is undetectable looking across the kitchen. The "office" area was updated to go underneath the countertop with a pull-out shelf. The shelf allows papers, and needed items to be stored below the counter surface. This design is practical and casually elegant for the kitchen command center. The two peninsulas were done in "Cosmos" granite. By adding granite to the top-cap of the bar, these areas blend into the living area. The glass sink is new along with the glass tile but the Grohe faucet is a re-use from the original kitchen. They loved that faucet so why change something that you like that still works beautifully after nearly 25 years? The vinyl floor was upgraded to vinyl tile. This choice is softer and warm underfoot compared to other hard surfaces including porcelain tile.
