On the island, the accessorized The Galley sink workstations create an efficient space for prepping, chopping, and washing. On the wall, storage mixes with three distinct sections: - the cooking area with multiple ovens and a pull-out support table fitted inside a drawer; - a tea station hidden behind pocket doors; - the bar area with its own sink as well as under-counter fridge units and ice maker integrated inside the cabinets. The hardscape foundation for this Sunnyvale outdoor oasis is an Archadeck stamp and stain patio porch base measuring 25 feet wide by 27 feet deep with an open gable roof end to facilitate the flow of gentle Sunnyvale breezes to cool and comfort family members when enjoying their leisure backyard times. The sheer size of it allows the family to enjoy a multitude of activities in one cohesive open air space – protected from potentially harmful UV rays with a covered roof fashioned out of tongue and groove.

This dining space is a blend of modern elegance and Scandinavian simplicity, where light neutral tones meet natural materials. The sleek, metallic central tables are flanked by plush, upholstered chairs, and the clean lines are complemented by the organic shapes of the overhead lighting. This design invites a sense of calm, with a layout that facilitates easy conversation and a lighting scheme that creates a warm, inviting glow.

The original closet was small and precarious. Our new design provided vast garment hanging capacity, a staging grid, and abundant drawers, including charging stations for electronics. We increased the window's width and height to provide further light penetration into the room and facilitate selection and color combinations. Motorized shades were installed to protect the garments.

The third floor was renovated to create a whimsical guest bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room. The upgrades to the baths included new plumbing fixtures, new cabinetry, countertops, lighting and floor tile. The renovation of the basement created an exercise room, wine cellar, recreation room, powder room, and laundry room in once unusable space. New ceilings, soffits, and lighting were installed throughout along with wallcoverings, wood paneling, carpeting and furniture.

For this three-bedroom house in the Southdowns Estate, ARCA Unlimited was appointed to design a home with bedrooms that boast private outdoor spaces and living areas that live out onto the adjacent farm fields. The design incorporates a courtyard concept to maximise privacy and use of available erf capacity. The house is expressed as three linear, north-facing, solid masses linked by a central, transparent passageway, which forms a visual focus point onto the pool and the farm fields beyond. Rooms, with outdoor extensions that facilitate both northern sunlight and natural ventilation, live out onto two secure and private courtyards. Central courtyards are connected to the living and entertainment areas, which spill out onto the farm fields.
