This four-level staircase commands attention from the moment you enter. Serving as the architectural centerpiece of the home, its open design works in harmony with strategic window placement to allow natural light to cascade down through all four levels of living space. The design makes bold use of contrast. The dark risers against light treads create visual drama, while wrought iron round balusters paired with painted wooden rails and newels ground the staircase in timeless elegance. Home design - traditional home design idea

Built in 1712, The William Rhett House is considered one of the oldest houses in historic Charleston and was one of the first of its kind to be restored back to its original grandeur. Double Hung Historic has been responsible for the restoration of the original windows throughout. This is a phased project and restoration work is in progress.

This is an example of a contemporary landscaping in DC Metro.

In this kitchen, Medallion Providence flat panel door style cabinet in Cherry with Amaretto stain with ebony glaze and highlight were installed. On the countertop is Cambria Cannongate quartz and a A 5’ Galley workstation with bamboo accessories and dual tier condiment and wash basin were installed. The backsplash materials are Limestone Crema Beveled 3x6 tile. Over the stove is a 36” Cavalier Stainless Steel hood.

This customer was having hardwood flooring installed so we removed the existing handrails and newels and then let the hardwood floor company install there flooring. We then returned to reinstall the Newel posts and railing with our PC18/1, PC18/2, and the PC33/2 Scroll all in our Old world Copper. Additionally we sanded and refinished the newel posts and railing to match the new hardwood flooring.
